Luckily HotS is here very soon and we won't have to deal with this anymore.
what makes you think blizzard won't throw a nerf hammer at everything in hots? o.o
Based on how ridiculous bio + mass widow mine plays out vs Z, I think they will
then I fail to see how moving to hots will make it any better anyways
I think everyone, including blizzard, learned something from WoL. That while it is fine for balance to be different at different parts of the game. Any matchup that has one race have a massive lategame advantage will always turn into a awful-to-watch turtle fest. I think that is why most people think TvP is the best of the non-mirrors. Late in the game, there is no obvious victor. Any game consisting of zerg, you can just close the stream as soon as you see zerg get infestor/BLs out, there is no question who wins anymore. I think in HOTS, everyone will pay attention to skytoss, since right now that looks like it will own zergs lategame ZvP, which means if protoss figures out how to turtle likes zergs, then it won't be fun to watch (or fair to play for zergs).

Nah, he just got metagamed hard. Lack of good Terran pressure options (thanks to queen range and overlord speed) in TvZ early game pretty much forces T to aim for a 3-OC eco with the barest hints of scouting information. It's easily exploitable by the Z

He was too greedy in game 4. There is no reason to 3CC on Icarus

He won because he doesn't have to worry about his wrists blowing up when he splits his units.
He won because he doesn't have to play against the time.
He won because he's not under the preassure being the last of his race in Ro4.
He won because he doesn't have a community praying on him to win to save the WoL's face as a complete game failure.
Sure, there's no balance involved.
Yeah, Taeja is a lot like Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty.

You can delay the third CC and build 2 more Rax instead after getting your Hellions. I like using Bomber's TvZ build and I've had huge success with it. Usually manage to end the game pre-Hive. I'm in Diamond btw, though have fallen a bit due to struggling in TvP and TvT.
The first two games were well played by both sides. Games 3-4 could have been won by Taeja if he just scouted and reacted accordingly. We went full MarineKing in game 4 there.

PvP is a rushfest? PvP too short! PvP goes into long macro game? PvP too boring! PvP is twilight vs robo vs stargate vs twilight? Omg too coinflippy.
TvT rush? Omg great micro! TvT long macro game? Omg tanks, so intense! TvT mech vs bio? Omg I wonder if he can outcontrol the mech, awesome!
Anyway I'm more interested in why terrans feel the need to remind us in every single TvT that "omg TvT is really the greatest match-up I'm jizzing my pants over this" than I am in the actual valor of the match-ups.
Because the game was broken with a massive imbalance in Terran's favor for a long time and that probably has a lot of explanatory power for MVP's success. So even if we agree zerg imba is bad, if one race has to be imba better terran than anything else.

What a fucking joke. The game was actually broken during the 1/1/1 period and that was after a magnificent year and a half. That's the problem with sc2. No one's fighting for a good balanced spectacle.
Did you just implied Mvp sucess was simply due to Terran? I just wanted to make sure you weren't saying that...because if you were lol..
EDIT: Actually, that whole post was really questionable so maybe nevermind lol..

sure it was broken but for protoss players to act all high and mighty like they never complained about anything is just bullshit lol
A faint transmission begins and you see Flash take a seat in front of the camera:
Fellow Terrans, I come to you in the wake of recent events to issue a call to reason. Let no human deny the perils of our time. While we battle one another, divided by the petty strife of our common history, the tide of greater conflict is turning against us, threatening to destroy all that we have accomplished. It is time for us as nations and as individuals to set aside our long-standing feuds and unite. The tides of an unwinnable war are upon us and we must seek refuge on higher ground lest we be swept away by the flood. Wings of Liberty is no more. Whatever semblance of unity and protection it once provided is a phantom... a memory. With our enemies left unchecked, who will you turn to for protection? The devastation wrought by the alien invaders is self-evident. We have seen our homes and villages destroyed by the calculated blows of the Protoss. We have seen first hand our friends and loved ones consumed by the nightmarish Zerg. Unprecedented and unimaginable though they may be, these are the signs of our time. The time has come my fellow Terrans to rally to a new banner. In unity lies strength; already many of the dissident factions have joined us. Out of the many we shall forge an indivisible whole capitulating only to a single throne. And from that throne, I shall watch over you.
From this day forward let no human make war upon any other human. Let no Terran agency conspire against this new beginning, and let no man consort with alien powers, and to all the enemies of humanity: seek not to bar our way. For we shall win through, no matter the cost!

Sadly will miss this GSL finals as it is a ZvZ and I will hold off on buying a yearly sub. from GomTv until I feel the matches are of more value. I'm happy Roro got through just for the Kespa effect but I'm not nearly as excited as I thought I'd be for the final WOL GSL Final. GL to both players and I await HotS.

You all were this mad in the RO8 when you started assuming there would be a ZvZ finals, this mad after the RO8, and now here we have you again expressing the same anger as before. Maybe you lied to others and yourselves in your ostensible certainty of a ZvZ finals, otherwise you would have turned away after the RO8. No.... No.... You kept on watching, and every time you resuscitated that slither of hope it was stomped on again and again, renewing your pain and, of course the most important piece of it all, my pleasure.
No, I didn't watch. In fact, after once the GSL turned into yet another ZvZ fest late 2012 (with a sprinkle of Parting) I decided it is not worth my money. I can have my fair share of zergs winning almost everything in every European weekly / monthly cup. I can watch games played by Snute, Vortix, Nerchio, SortOf, Bly etc.
These are some good players, way above the level of average stream-viewing scrubs and they can deliver some good game. I really enjoyed the, ZvZ finals of the aAa pro challenge was pretty good (Vortix vs Snute).
GomTV twitch rebroadcast is live now and somehow I do not feel like watching it. Only 1500 are watching which is way less than what you would see for a something like a ZOTAC or GO4SC2.
are you somehow trying to claim that players like symbol, roro, curious, et al are not as good as vortix and nerchio?
