Those are some sharp looking skins, well done.

While blizzard has made some great games, they're also known for implementing great ideas from other games in a better and more complete way. Some folks might have seen the dawn of war skin mechanism, which was a bit of fun to play with. Basically you had a few settings such as main color, secondary color, trim color, etc. That scheme would them be transfered across all of your units and buildings -- pretty fantastic really.

I never really got into the game but using the in game option to recolor my armies as I saw fit was a unique experience which I'd love to see in SC.

I was thinking about skins and I thought why not make it so that units have desert or snow suit skins. A marine might have a parka or cape/blanket wrapped around his back or a hydralisk tinged with white? Or maybe a siege-tank camoflauged green with a ram on the front to move debris/plants. If players could select which skins they would wear like jungle/desert/snow it would make the units look a lot cooler. Seeing the same unit skins again and again regardless of the map looks boring. Could this realistically be implemented into the game?

Leveling system in HotS rewards certain unit and building skin, there are limited numbers but surely there will be more, necroing this thread isn't the right place to go.

For those of you curious, this isn't possible anymore with the addition of patch 1.5 (which prevented MPQ editing)
