EPTgo to 1:03:00 on the youtube video, around 49:00 in game time.
Before the second-to-last "engagement" started, the situation was as follows:
From EG's perspective
- EG has taken top rax and mid melee rax. bottom rax of fnatic still had tier 3 tower.
- EG has just taken Roshan, giving the cheese to Wisp and the aegis to Beastmaster.
- buyback is available on EGs Sven and only 80 gold away from buyback on wisp
- buyback is available on EGs beastmaster (with lots of extra money on top of buyback) and tide. undying is the only one who doesn't have buyback available, having just bought aghanim's
- sven+wisp are hanging around middle lane
- tide+beast+undying are hanging around bottom lane
on Fnatic, they have all of their ultimates available, which are gyrocopter calldown, enigma blackhole, magnus RP, lina's laguna blade, and SD's purge. Glyph is up for Fnatic.
So what does EG proceed to do? They have both mid and bottom pressure at the same time.
they suicide sven+ wisp on mid rax. Maybe not intentionally, but they do. the bottom 3 heroes are just playing at the edges, not overly committing or going to save Fear/Jeyo.
This is how it played out:
1. pipe used bottom lane on incoming creep wave
2. fnatic rotates bottom
3. fear+jeyo(wisp) INSTANTLY start attacking mid ranged rax.
4. Fear (sven) kills mid ranged rax quickly, but is disrupted by SD, magnus RP is blown on them as well, as well as enig ulti, laguna blade, and purge.
5. Fnatic uses glyph, supposedly to save bottom? But tide and undying are already B and demon is there by himself. I think this glyph threw away any chance of a victory. Not that they had one anyways, but the glyph sealed it.
6. Only ulti up on Fnatic is gyro, which they use on the escaping trio bottom, who did some tier 3 tower damage but that's it. Beast master goes down in the escape, tide and undying make it out.
7. Tier 4 tower goes down, giving wisp enough money to buyback.
Do you see what happens next? Maybe you watched it so you do.
1. Instant Fear buy back.
2. wisp buyback once tier 4 goes down
3. beastmaster buyback, buys boTs and TPs back bottom.
4. sven and wisp tp in.
5. all 5 EG+glyph down+ 0 ultis from Fnatic = free rax for EG. Mega creeps are up, Fnatic GGs.
You can almost say EG planned for this to happen... having sven target the mid rax, and not caring if he died b/c him+wisp can buy back. forcing out all the ultis. Then having Beast available to buyback and get boots of travel as well.
I believe the game was already over anyways, but it was a nice, clean, executed finish from EG that showed they didn't lose focus. Well played overall by them.
