I don't understand why NesTea doesn't switch up his game. He has great mechanics, but other than that.... I cannot understand his decision to go muta/ling/bane which is basically dead against a well playing Terran. The position where FantaSy lost everything could have already been game over if he did set up his tanks and marines in a correct way.

He's fun to watch, does his thing, and still stays in GSL. Btw, consider a name change. That anime is horrible.
Consider thinking before posting. Might be not the reason I chose the nickname ! Also can't argue about taste.
Consider thinking before saying Nestea is a terrible player. Considering how he dropped to Code B and still has the fighting spirit to come back for a 30 year old, I say that is pretty impressive.
Also he is a X3 GSL Champion.
Frankly speaking, calling him terrible player is just bad from you.
Are you dumb? Watch him play. Every top foreign Zerg now is a better player and at least in ZvT more scary. Sorry to hurt your feelings with it, but I base what I write on his games, not because I dislike him. I acknowledge his fighting spirit and I'm not saying he is TERRIBLE as Starcraft 2 player, but in terms of being a full-time professional Korean, he is terrible. Thats how it is, even if its sad.
Maybe get your head out of his ass and watch the games. I don't rate players on their previous achievements.... they don't matter if you talk about current skill. NaDa in his prime of broodwar was unbelievable, owned so much and even though he was a better player overall in his future career, compared to others he wasn't just as good anymore. He had one last very intense and good OSL iirc, but well, wasnt enough.
Same with NesTea. He was a good player, maybe ahead of his opponents at his time but right now he's nothing but average. If you cannot agree with it, just don't but don't insult others nickname because their opinion hurt you. Thats ridiculous.

If you try to get as grasp of his strategical progress.. there is NONE. I can link you his GSL games from 2 years ago ZvT and from now. Only difference might be he is getting ultras occasionally now... other than that. Ling, Muta, Bane... always.

Well MVP invented that move.
Beat Rain twice in a single series in GSL Code S Semis using that build.
To be fair in the one game I remember him doing it, Rain randomly moved out of his ramps right as Flash was attacking and got caught completely unprepared.

He got out of the hell known as code B on his first try. Something people strave for months if not a year long that still no foreigner ever made (except open seasons). He may not be as good as he used to be but please, he aint nearly as bad as you make him out to be.

He's still used to winning championships off the back of bracket luck and players like Ensnare/TheWinD/Kyrix/InCa. I'm sorry, this might be a bit too harsh but he is the most overrated player in WoL and has been for over a year now. It just makes me sick to my stomach that true talent is almost never seen on camera and never talked about and never appreciated while players like NesTea are idolized all the time even though they're barely relevant anymore.
What? Overrated? He definitely WAS one of the best players, but his strengths just don't really matter any more at this stage of the game. He has always sucked against terran, that's kinda true and that might be the reason why he plays such a weird style, but he didn't do that well in the past because of luck (Wtf... Bracket Luck? you're kidding, right?). Unfortunately he just plays horrible when it comes to Broodlord/Infestor and right now Zerg don't seem to have a chance to end a game without them :-P
Yes. He was one of the best players during late 2010-mid 2011. But everyone overrated the shit out of him for at least one year afterwards even when he fell off considerably.
As for bracket luck yes. If you seriously believe the old Code S seeding system was fine then I'm not sure what planet you live on. If it weren't so bad they would not have changed it. Not only that, I'm not sure if you realize but a big chunk of the people that NesTea beat have actually dropped out of GSL altogether in mid 2011 and were barely relevant at any point in time in terms of skill and results. Again, we're talking about players like Kyrix, TheWinD, FruitDealer (in 2011), TesteR (also in 2011), Ensnare, HongUn and InCa. Where are they now? Where were they in the beginning of 2012 at least? Right...
Again I'm not saying he's a bad player, and he deserved to be in Code S for the longest time but the fact remains that mindless fanbois love to overrate the hell out of him and make him out to be some sort of god when luck played in fact a big factor in his success. Notice how every time he butted against Mvp or MMA in 2011 he got demolished? Yeah.
Actually that's not quite what Naruto says. If you read it closely you notice Naruto says he is Nestea is good in the sense that he is mechanically good, but bad in that for some reason he refuses to make any progress in his play/strategies. Which to a degree is true, although I wouldn't personally put it in the same proportions that Naruto does.
I agree with NarutO in that NesTea is mechanically good. With this post I was just explaining my reasoning and trying to make these fanbois understand that I'm not intending to hurt them in the feelings but just stating the obvious truth and providing examples for why NesTea has been overrated and why luck played a factor in his success.
