Edit: How long do gamersgate offers last? It does not. It comes in one big installer package that lets you choose which games to install.
GamersGate has dailies, but the D&D Anthology should be staying at that price until the sale season ends, I think. They've also ran it at $6.68 or so at least twice in the past.

It's meant to be a horror game but honestly it isn't that scary. Still worth the $7.50 for the atmosphere of walking around a nice forest at night with a rampaging monster following you around. Just a heads up. If you're planning on getting Alan Wake, you might want to do it at Green Man Gaming, assuming you don't have any payment problems there - it's $5.24 and American Nightmare is $2.62 with the voucher on the front page. Both activate on Steam.

Which should I start with :o? I would go with Planescape Torment Not sure I'd agree. I think it's the best game out of the bunch, but I also think it's the least accessible to someone who hasn't played Infinity Engine RPGs before.
I'd start with BG1->BG2, then play PS:T, then IWD->IWD2->ToEE.

I think the best reason to suggest PS:T first is because it controls quite differently than BG1 and 2 and personally speaking that took me a substantial amount of getting used to, having played BG1 and 2 first. I also thing BG2 is the best personally. ;p + Show Spoiler +PS:T has the best story by a mile, but BG2's gameplay and open worldness(is that a word.. is now.) is nothing short of amazing so it beats PS:T all in all imo

Sigh, that feeling when Steam notifies you that two of your friends are playing Anno 2070.
I shoulda bought that game when I had the chance. T_T

Assassins Creed 2 for $5, worth it? I havent played the first one either.
Also, Mark of the Ninja up for vote to be 50% off as community choice if it wins

No worries . I wanted to buy that but I don't have any of their payment methods, so I went for the GoG bundle instead.
Anyways, thanks for your suggestions guys. I'm not sure yet if I'm gonna start with Baldurs gate or planescape torment. I think I'll just play a little of both and see for myself.

Clearly I need to spam refresh this gamersgate website due to all the "mistakes" it has

Bought The Walking Dead and I am loving the game so far. I recommend it to anyone that is a fan of the series and like story driven games.

I'd say go with Baldurs Gate. Make sure you use some widescreen mod for all of those games if none comes with that release by default, it makes them a lot more enjoyable on modern monitors, and the engine scales very well with higher resolutions that are not supported by default. There is apparently a guide for that linked on the GoG gamepage of Baldurs gate. Use it.
Basically, Baldurs Gate is kind of a middle ground there. Icewind Dale is basically pure combat. There is some story, practically no choices, and you got a pretty linear game where the main focus is to solve the combat. Planescape is the exact opposite. Combat is pretty irrelevant, it is mostly about the story and making choices/solving dialog. Baldurs Gate is a middle ground here with both relevant combat and relevant dialog choices/story.

anyone have a good suggestion for a game that is fun to play with others, is cheap as well and can be played alone and still be fun. I'm thinking of something like a castle crashers, but more loot heavy. not torchlight though. Sorry if it isn't specfic.

AC2 is the only good one of the franchise. If you played AC2 you can ignore every other AC Game.

Add AC2: Brotherhood imo. After Brotherhood they got worse by a big margin. I still enjoyed Revelations and 3 but 2 and Brotherhood are miles ahead.
For the story you might want to play AC1 as well. It's probably supercheap anyway.

I've always felt the AC series deserves way more criticism for releasing essentially the same game over and over since AC2. It's an even worse offender than the Call of Duty series in my opinion. You truly only need to ever play one of them
