Most of you probably heard about the Meltdown eSports bar in Paris when we announced our opening earlier this year. The community has been extremely supportive and we are forever thankful for your welcome. Now Meltdown is expanding to cities across Europe, trying to offer all gamers a place to call their own.
We had found the perfect location in Berlin: a cool little pub that we could have turned into a great venue for you. After months of planning, negotiations and contract signing, everything was finally ready. But just as the project was about the kick-off, here is what we were told: the landlord had refused to lease us the venue because he didn't believe in the project. He didn't believe in eSports.
Ever since we began the Meltdown project, it has been our goal to fight to give eSports a place in real life: we want credibility and recognition of eSports by the public. We will do whatever it takes.
Good news is: Meltdown Berlin is back on the tracks again! We found a great location near Hermannplatz and within a few weeks you'll be able to sip on a cocktail while watching streams with friends every day of the week!
thats right! the whole BerlinBarCraft crew is on it. we'll be busting balls to make the place pretty and comfy and an eSports temple Berlin style a s a p!!!
I want one of these in Zagreb. Last time we had a gathering for Homestory Cup finals there was around 100 people in a crappy small student bar. A real esports bar would be perfect.
