I've been reading about the amygdala, the part of the brain that apparently controls social interactions, memory, and emotional reactions. It's a pretty important part of the brain (just like all the other parts--unique but important) and being a shy extrovert, or perhaps an ambitious introvert, I have been trying to increase my amygdala's size and productivity, in hopes of being more fulfilled.
I want to have a better functioning amygdala as quickly as possible. So instead of broadening my networks, I've decided to do more creative things, like writing and drawing. Just today I sat down and said "what can I do right now that is creative?" and I thought, "painting is creative" so I opened up MSPaint because it's handy.
I drew the first scene which happened to be rather dull, a simple landscape.

I wanted some contrast between my first and second MS-paintings so I decided to do something dark. The finished idea, my darkest fear of being trapped in a psychological well with no way out, also required the canvas to be rotated, further enhancing the contrast from the first painting.

Then I had no more ideas, but I thought it would be nice to have three paintings. So I thought and I thought, and I decided it would be nice to offer some advice to the people reading my blog and looking at my paintings, so I offered the best, quick, visual explanation of how I view the human world, in terms of emotional balances and fulfillment, and I came up with this:
perception
Maybe I inspired someone out there to do something new and fun, maybe not, but either way, I have enjoyed this time I am now sharing with you. May you broaden your outlook and expand your happiness!
