Night One The day was long. He hadn't slept since the bombing, and he couldn't afford to just yet. With only his wits to protect him, he lay as still as he could as darkness approached, watching the doorway. He only had to wait another couple of days. The tapping had grown louder over the past couple of hours. A creaking groan found its way to his ears and his skin crawled in anticipation. Footsteps could be heard, but whether they were approaching or retreating he could not tell. Then the tapping stopped. Breath held, he braced himself against the wall ready to strike at the first sign of movement. A light flashed through the window, illuminating the hallway, but there was nothing to be seen. He waited for an eternity but no one approached. All sounds had vanished. No tapping, no footsteps. Just....Silence....Surely it was safe to go out by now. He had to get back. As he gathered himself to begin his journey a chill breeze stopped him dead in his tracks. The window was open, and there they were. They just stood there motionless, with a blank expression across their faces. He turned to run, but the doorway was blocked by another group. He wasn't going anywhere. The sound of a whip cracked overhead and his vision blurred. Hopefully it would all be over soon. + Show Spoiler + DarthPunk, as Captain Lee Adama has been lynched.
