The problem is, I've never bought a monitor before. I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to be looking for...
I probably want a 23'' or a 24'' screen. Bigger IMO is just too expensive and smaller is well... smaller.
I've narrowed down the choices to Samsung, Dell or BenQ (although I'm open to suggestions)
I know Dell gets a lot of hate around the net about their computers, but what about their monitors?
I was thinking about maybe getting theDELL-U2312HM or the DELL-U2412M
which seem to get good rep around the net.
BenQ has a nice monitor too. BenQ BL2400PT and a 2410 version should be in stores shortly too.
While Samsung models like Samsung T23B350 and Samsung T24B350 and Samsung LT22B350
offer TV tuner, HDMI slot, USB, and have Speakers built in.
Now I'm not sure what to buy. I don't know whether if watching TV via tuner, and the HDMI are going to be useful, or are they just a fad? Also should I get 2 monitors?
I don't want a "gaming" monitor, or a movie watching one. I'd like a monitor which will be decently useful for everything from work (word, powerpoint, excel, reading etc.) to a little bit of gaming (not hardcore, sadly don't have time for that anymore) and maybe the TV part. But if I want to watch TV, maybe it's better to just buy a damn TV instead?
Thanks for your time and input.
