People of same culture tend to stick better. It's just that... a fact T_T

have you actually ever been to calcuta? come on now.

if that was sarcasm then cool. if not here's my 'retort' - other than my insulting him, the rest of what i said was a generalization (edit - based on personal experience) that had nothing to do with his statement except for the fact that it mentions indians

Freshman year: I go with the random roommate since I'm skeptical of most of the kids from my hs that ended up coming here. One of them ends up in my hall, smokes pot, doesnt study, parties etc etc and god I wish I had just roomed with him.
My randomly assigned rm is from Vegas and he's tall, long blond hair, skinny and walks like jar jar binks. He's a music major and he wants to study classic rock guitar, even though our school doesn't offer that. So he wants to get into the jazz guitar program except he doesn't study and eventually flunks out at the end of the year. He complains day and night because he's a virgin. He's obsessed with star wars and the beatles. He goes to bed every night at 9 and wakes up every morning at 9...seriously, how? Every waking moment in our room the beatles were blaring unless he was playing a star wars video game or watching a star wars movie or cartoon. I tried bringing a girl to my room once and he definitely wouldn't leave and he kept playing star wars yelling at the tv like "WHAT THE FUCK WHERE ARE MY REINFORCEMENTS I NEED MORE FORCE ATTACKS" bla bla bla. Best part was he had the worst relationship with his parents (non-stop yelling) so they liked me more than him. He flunked out and I got good grades, so they always asked me how I was doing after lecturing him about his academic probation. They also sent me duplicates of his gifts like halloween candy buckets and such...haha I always thanked them. Good people, I don't know what happened to him. The best part was he was too afraid to talk to girls and I tried to help him more than once introducing him to a girl and he would literally RUN after making an excuse of why he had to go. He would also call half the attractive girls he commented on sluts without even having talked to them, while one night he got really pissed at a drunk girl who called him a nerd because of the star wars posters on our door for judging him. Finally, after an hour lesson with a friend, I could play more guitar than he could.
So sophomore year i say fuck randy roommates so my good friend and I request each other. Instead of granting this request the uni gives me a randy and gives my friend his old shitty roommate back, gg. So this new kid is chinese which may be why I dont know about all this shit that annoys me. Anyway, hes into the quixtar business shit that's basically a pyramid scheme and he's also 'into health.' He lectures all day long about vitamins and works on his speeches and pre-fabricated invitations for health conscious people who would like to pay him $5 a day for vitamins and $200 for genetic tests and shit. Hes a good 30 pounds overweight and doesn't exercise AT ALL yet still looks down on me, the triathlete tennis player, because I don't take his vitamins. He also looks down on me in school because, even though i take 50% more credits than him and get good grades, he's in higher level classes because he went to private school and came to uni with credits. Very bitchy, owes me money 'cause he's stingy, and as I'm typing this he's left one of his 40-year-old business partners alone with me for 30 minutes so far. Awkward. Also he recycles the air in our room every day by opening the door while I'm trying to sleep. Over winter he's done this with a sweater, jacket and sweatpants and sits at his computer while I'm in my boxers asleep. He also exposes himself to light all day and dark while he sleeps. So 10 minutes after I go to bed in our single room he turns all the lights back on and either wakes me up or pisses me off if I haven't fallen asleep. I crash around midnight on weeknights while I think hes up til 3 or 4ish. He sleeps with earplugs in and occasionally does 'business' at 6 am and has to crank his alarm to compensate for this then hits the snooze button at least 3 times. He never leaves the room except for class which he ditches half the time anyway and whenever I'm not there he bolts the door, probably so he can jerk it. He also has no friends and mine who have met him always tell me he approaches them even though he doesn't even remember their names.

Don't take this the wrong way but it reminds me of a story.....a friend of a friend had a gay roomate years ago in college...one day the guy is having unexplained problems with anal bleeding. Eventually he sets up a camera in his dorm secretly and discovers his roomate was drugging and raping him.
Probably won't happen to you though.

How not to brake up with your Girlfriend Well it is not really a bad experience, but it has to do with my roommate
So, I've been living with my roommate for a little more than a year now. He has had a girlfriend for almost 2 years. In November he started a new job. He accidentally cheated on her when he was drunk with another girl. He wasn't feeling too good about himself. For about a month he's been having trouble when going to the toilet. HELLO CHLAMYDIA. Since chlamydia can also be transmitted through sex, there was no way out of this discussion.

Dude, my roommate ALWAYS CLOGS THE TOILET. So today, he clogged it and broke the plunger while trying to fix it. He left, without fixing it ...and my roommate forgot it was clogged and flushed. Now there's water everywhere and I really need to take a shit. But my roommate who clogged it won't go buy a plunger to fix it. WTF. I'm holding in shit cause of that fucker.

I taught my roommate how to play sc since I had been playing for a few years and he was curious. Then cs beta 7.1 came out so we started playing that as well. Then diablo II came out followed by the lod so we started playing that as well. I don't really have a bad roommate experience, it was pretty awesome actually. Ny roommates and I always got along. But he was such a slob that leftover food and drinks on his desk would grow mold (we shared a room). That's my only beef. This was over 7 years ago.
We still play sc.

Seeing all your rommates bad habits makes me think I got the jackpot. Seriously. I can't think of a single bad enough thing to post here. In fact - just one - his hobby - cooking. And an amazing skills at it. With few ordinary basic products he makes wonders. First 2-3 months resulted in 6-7 kilos up. When I got troubles fitting in my clothes I returned to usual weight, but damn it's so irritating to have so delicious food all the time for gourmet like me.
