I got quite inspired to tell you guys about my former roommate (flatmate actually) reading GI's thread, and since I didn't want to go off topic, I'll instead create a new topic. That's just the kind of genius I am.
My former roomate is hot as hell. I hadn't had much contact with her for a few years until I moved to her city at the same time she broke up with her long-time boyfriend, and she called me up to ask if I wanted to move in with her. In the apartment they used to live in. I had some doubts about it, but it would be economical and practical. So I accept.
Now, at the time I moved into the apartment there was a lot of shit going down in her life and she was kind of stressed out all the time (that was during the first month, then she calmed down somewhat. At least I thought she had). What I didn't know was that she had a period a while back where she was borderline obsessive-compulsive - very very into cleaning and tidying and stuff (think Monica from Friends), and there was obviously some residue from that period still in her. Now, I'm not the tidiest of persons but I do keep my shit clean. But this girl, she made me seem like some cave man who had never seen soap in his entire life - and it was all, of course, my fault. This was something I also found out in our happy little home: she is the kind of person that believes the way she does things is the correct one. Everything else is second-rate. So, even if I did clean, and did my best keeping it tidy, it was never good enough. This was bad enough. Then she started drinking.
Every man knows of a girl that can't hold her liquor. My girl got crazy when she touched booze, and she had the willpower of a five-year old. So she would come in late at night, and one of two scenarios would play out: 1) she would have some wanker daddy-boy with her that she would shag. That is no problem for me usually, but she had a bed that would bang against my wall (even when I told her repeatedly to please just pull it out an inch), and she was extremely noisy. 2) She would hang around more or less naked and crying for hours (about her ex, about her life, about her own evil little self) until she fell asleep either on the bathroom floor or in her bed. While the more or less naked part shouldn't be a problem, it just made it even more irritating because I kinda couldn't just grab her and drag her to bed and put her to sleep. And her bed was the couch in the living room which was between my room and the bathroom, the kitchen and the front door.
In addition to all this fun, she was the worst cell phone person ever. I could write her messages with direct questions and she wouldn't reply. I could call her and she wouldn't pick up, only to call me back at any random point in the next seven days asking in a slightly irritated voice what I wanted. And every little thing I did around the apartment she didn't agree with, she would loudly announce the fact and denounce my deed, and when I would ask her what the problem was, she would reply by saying that I "should know". That "I have to understand" that things simply didn't work that way, even though these were things I had done for years and they worked perfectly fine for me.
Finally, and excrutiatingly (sp) irritating, she was very, very rhethorically skilled, and we wouldn't be living together for more than five-six months anyway. So trying to argue with her was useless because she simply would trample me with logic that was flawed but nonetheless much better formulated and put forward than the stuff I could do. And starting a real fight would also be useless because it would do nothing except further poisoning the mood and do nothing to further any goal. It seemed especially futile because I only had to hang in there for just a few more months.
All right, that's my bad roommate. Who was/is yours?

Person 1:
-My housemate moved his girlfriend in day 3 of us living together. We told him to stop and 2 months later he lived at her house but kept paying rent at ours but no utilities. As a result we sealed off his room to save heat and cut him off from the internet. Then we found out he spent $500 on electricity one month because the heat in the room was cranked to 32 - it was like a tropical rainforest in there. When he came to pick up some stuff he turned our furnace off while trying to turn a light off and we didn't notice until 2 days later when it was like 5 degrees in the house.
-When he moved out he left all his shit in there, specifically a huge desk that he didnt want. We carried it all the way to his new place (about 2 km), and unscrewed the top and screwed it back on perpendicularly so it wouldn't fit back out the door. Then we melted solder into the screw holes and filled them with crazy glue. Last time I was over there his desk was still in that room.
-He was so cheap he wouldn't pay for TV (while the rest of us were). Every time I saw him watching TV it "wasn't him it was his girlfriend and he was just keep her company"
-He brought a single can of beer to keg parties, wouldn't buy a cup and then kept asking people to fill his can from their cups. I mean, COME ON.
-We bought a keg for all of our friends and just had a party. It was like $50 a piece and no charge to drink from it. He didn't want to pay because he thought we were going to charge everyone money, then he went and told everyone that he got the keg. Then we kicked him out.
-The phone got disconnected because he paid the balance several times to the utilties company. Like 4 times. We rode that credit for like 4 months.
Person 2:
-He kept soaking his bong in the kitchen sink with the dishes. When we asked he didn't see the problem.
-We found out part of our house (one light and the whole upstairs) was attached to the basement apartment's electricity. We attached something to the light that turns it into an outlet and ran a 1500 W space heater all winter from it. We talked to the basement girl and shes like "I was gone all month and I still owe $400 in electricity - I even disconnected all my appliances." Whoops.
-He built an aquarium for growing mushrooms. It was hooked up to his computer with sensors that monitored air humidity, temperature, light, etc. It was actually really neat, except he turned our spare room into his grow room. He kept it at about 30 in there, and it was so musky. I never went into that room because I dind't want spores in my lungs.
-He didn't believe in shower curtains. Our apartment was 2 stories, he lived on the entire top and flooded the bottom weekly. He'd fill the sink and then go get high and forget about the running water and would flood the kitchen and the girls below us monthly.
-He organized his friend to rob us. Stole my friends laptop, XBox and games, and random jewlery.
There's like 1000 more things but this is all I remember right now.

I'm far from having so little respect for myself as to carry any desire to defend my actions to a "TL tribunal", but I will point out that having a hot naked and drunken woman shambling around your apt gets old very fast. I wouldn't expect you to understand. 
Edit: In fact, imagine it was my sister that I was living with. Does that make it more comprehensible?

roommate 1 : brought a black man back to his room and had sex together. wtf, I was sleepless and felt like to throw out because his room was next to mine and I could hear shit from what they were doing.
roommate 2 :
+) never clean stuff and put everything over the 2 sinks. I had to keep my bows and plates in my room otherwise he'd take them and use without cleaning afterward. Once day I woke up early, cook some stuffs, put my bow there waiting for my food to be done. Then I went for a shower for 10 mins. When I came down, he was fucking using my bow, mother fucker.
+) he made some tea and didnt clean the tea pot, put it in the sink. I cleaned my stuff and put his tea pot outside of the sink. He came back and said, oh great, Aries (other roomate) cleaned it. Then he used that tea pot to make tea again. Then he complained, wtf, Aries was so dirty, how could he clean this but the soap is still inside and it's completely dirty. I was like, wtf, u stupid as fuck, noone cleaned it.
and many other terrible stories about that guy
3)old roomate of my current roomate: my roomate told me, that guy didnt flush the toilet after he takes a shit, he didnt even clean himself because there were no toilet paper at all (or he used his bare hand or whatever  )

my roommate once jerked it while we where awake because he was that "horny". i had to gtfo out of the room right when i found out what was happening underneath the desk

my first roommate was an exchange student from calcutta, india. needless to say it was awful.

My current roommate, honestly theres no reason to hate him except for little things but anything thing he does annoys the shit outta me.
- shaves his facial hair, leaves hair in sink, leaves room and cleans t up like 5 hrs later when he comes back.
- eats like a fucking camel, chews so loud
- leaves piss residue and pubes on toilet seat -.-, fucking disgusting
- always asks me for help in games that a fucking 10 yr old can figure out (hes a 21 yr old engineer, and cant even figure out how to beat the first colossus in SOTC......
- takes showers at 3AM when I HAVE A FUCKING CLASS OR EXAM AT 8AM
- doesn't move his arms when walking
- always looks at me when i walk by him -_________-

In my last apartment there were four of us all living together; myself, two of my high school friends from several years back and one of their cousins. One day I get home from work to find a note and $1000 in cash. The note is from my friend who has the cousin living with us. It reads "This is for my rent and stuff for the next month or two. I'm gone to Canada." No warning whatsoever. We found out a little later that he stole a Porche and built up a $23,000 debt on his credit cards as the bills were still being mailed to our apartment. Some people have come looking for him now and again (under about three different names). I don't think he'll ever come back. He still call occasionally though, I don't know why. Anyway, we found someone else to replace him who was another friend from high school. That left the cousin as sort of the odd man out.
Each week the cousin would literally bring home a random girl, get the both of them shit-faced and then have sex for several hours before forcing her to leave and then sitting and puking in our only bathroom for the rest of the night because he couldn't hold his alcohol. This wasn't so bad until he lost his job and it happened more and more frequently. At this point he started to play music very loudly the entire time, lock his door, and pass out inside so we couldn't even turn it off. Our neighbors below us would constantly complain, and rightfully so.
The music itself was unbearable. Now, I don't really like rap so much, but I can stand it. What I can't stand is the same rap song on repeat for six hours while I'm trying to sleep. We would talk to him about this and he said he'd stop, but one of our other roommates was a complete pushover and the troublesome one would have no problem convincing him that what he was doing was completely okay.
It escalated from bringing over random girls to bringing over random girls and one of his 'gangsta' friends (or so they called themselves). The whole lot of them would then get drunk and all have sex with each other. At least thats what it sounded like. There would be drunk, naked people walking around our apartment (sometimes wearing a sheet if we were lucky).
Eventually he took the sound system from our living room and moved it into his bedroom. I was the first one who came home to see this. I told him that he could either bring it back down himself, or I would go into his room in the middle of the night, wake him up, and force him to do it. He put it on the top of the stairs. I woke him up.
Two days later he talks the pushover into moving it back into his room because it's really "his" (somehow). It actually all of ours, we used the $1000 cash on the sound system instead of the rent it was intended to pay, since we found someone so quickly. He moves it back up. I move it back down. He gets pissed and confronts me. Words are exchanged and eventually he hits me. I fight back. Our pushover actually steps in to stop us.
The next day I tell my other two roommates that we can either kick him out, or I'm gonna leave. They both agree and want him gone. He asks to give him a month to find another place. All of the above continues during this month. At the end of the month we change the locks, but not before he is able to steal half of our electronics. He comes back a couple days later, drops a duffel back at our door and runs off. Our stuff is in it. I haven't heard from him since (Thank God!).

I share a flat with 5 people, 2 male, 3 female, and one of the guys is pretty damn strange:
-36 years old, studied for about 16 years (mostly math, some physics and other stuff) then quit without a degree.
-unplugs the station of the phone and the wireless lan modem regularly, because he "feels the rays in the air". he says they are hurting him
-leaves the kitchen when you turn on the microwave, rays, you know..
-cannot stand stand bar-codes facing the open room, he turns packages or we around so he doesnt have to see them
-walks around in underwear often (kinda strange when you have visitors)
and stuff like this
