We know team histories are not working correctly. Thank you. |
Is there any chanse there could be something like a "professional TLPD" or something like that, tracking every small 15$ tournament is fucking up the international ranking system. Having great players such as NaNiwa, Thorzain and lots of other great top players being ranked in then 70-100's when worse players (no offense, just facts :< ) like Snute, sLivko or Seiplo ranking higher due to massing tournaments with a very small, or close to no prizepool.
The current TLPD is favored towards players who mass alot of games against less known players and alot worse to top tier players who doesnt win every tournament they go to. Stephano is doing fine (due to the fact that he is a beast and wins pretty much any premier event he attends), but some players who are consistantly in the news, qualifying for tournaments, getting invites and playing on par with top players (including koreans) are getting lost some where in the bottom on the rankings.
Example:
Seiplo has 271-270 stats over all in tournaments, not a single noteable premier league placement and pretty much only play the weekly cups for pocket money.
NaNiwa has 423-254 in stats overall in tournaments, recently reached ro8 twice in a row in GSL and have a few heavy titles in his repetuar. However, he is ranked 89 places behind Seiplo at 162nd due to the fact the pretty much only get matches recored during official premier events and doesnt spend most of his time playing nonames for pocket change every day every week.
So what am i actually suggesting? Its pretty simple really.. another branch of TLPD (or maybe a rewamp of the entire TLPD?) which only records Premier and Major events. To make it a reliable source of information to whom is performing the best in the international scene at that moment.

Hey I have some questions:
1. Can you calculate the winrate of 2 opponents against each other using this formula?: WINRATE B=(1+10^(ELO(A)-ELO(B))/400)^-1. or do you use another formula?
2. Is there a way to extract only korean RECENT (say 2 months) mapstatistics? I know how to do it with the international winrates and I know where to find the korean OVERALL winrates but what I need is the korean stats from just the last 2 moths more every GSL map, because of metagamechanges and such.

Root Puck is shown as Canadian in TLPD but American on Liquipedia. Given that he played in WCS USA and not Canada, it seems the latter is the correct one, :D

Is there going to be a separate HotS database? There are some HotS tournaments starting to pop up...

TLPD rocks and you guys working on it rock. I've said it before, but again, just let me know if there's anything I can do for you guys..
That's it

Can the Open Online Qualifiers be updated for TLPD? All the Korea/Taiwan results have been posted and the European + American ones will be posted soon.

Is there a way to restore the pages for the old BW teams? f.e. MBC

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but the KeSPA team shirts on the Korean TLPD disappear on the second page (and onwards).

Hey,
Could you kindly update my tlpd profile pic? Just to something not so dated...
Thank you very much

why isn't a player's elo listed on their TLPD page? I think it should also have their elo for vs each race and elo peaks.

Looks like no new games have been added since 09-15. Are you having problems?

If you'd read this you'd stop asking as if it hadn't been answered 3 times.

Is there something like a FAQ for TLPD? Some players profiles, for example TLOs are so outdated... Just in general - would be nice to learn something about how TLPD is run. Are there certain update cycles? Do all the games have to be added manually? Or is there a function to get games from liquipedia automatically? Which tournaments are considered important enough to make it into the database... is there some kind of criteria? Prizemoney maybe?
Its a great database... its THE database for starcraft players I love it! Its just that i don't really understand it.

Hey I already mentioned this once, but I'd really appreciate it if I was taken off of the liquipedia page
|
hey wattabeast, I have no idea what you're talking about, care to explain? Also might be useful if you post in liquipedia feedback instead of tlpd feedback :D

TLPD hasn't been updated in some areas lately. For example, it still doesn't say that Stephano won WCS EU.
