Hey my name is Ivdyogitime.475 been casting for a while now and have noticed that it is very difficult to find other casters in the community. There is about 50 or so random posts that I found on the the liquid site. No real forums outside of team liquid I could find and thought it was very weird that with the number of assipiring casters out there that team liquid does not have a caster forum. Is this something we could get added to the site.
Our group of 17 casters have to stumble upon other casters to continue to grow and have to plug our website for casters, but it seems by now it would be a normal part of the starcraft community.
Does anyone know how to request a new forum? Is it appropiate to request one?
To me it does not seem much different than the tournament tracker section but I could be wrong.
Anyone else see a need for this or am I out on a lonely limb by myself?
Happy Gaming IvDyogitime

You will probably get a good response if you post it in the website feedback or simple questions/simple answers thread.
|
It wouldn't be a bad idea - Try posting in website feedback. What's your website? found it from a closed thread - checking out your website.
|
Are you indirectly advertising something?
This would have been a good thread, the op is just not up to TL standards though,.
|
no not trying to advertise on it, intentionally left website off so it did not come across that way. What does "op is just not up to TL standards" mean? a bad post?
|
ok so I am looking for the feature request area, can't find it, can someone give me a hand please and point me in the right direction.

ok I opened a post in the website feedback area to see if they will ad a casters section to the forum. Adding poll as well to see if the community thinks we need one as well to help them decide...
Poll: Should teamliquid ad a casters forum sectionNo (15) 75% Yes (5) 25% 20 total votes Your vote: Should teamliquid ad a casters forum section (Vote): Yes (Vote): No

I don't think you need a whole section on TeamLiquid. You could start by creating a thread in the "TL Community" section maybe. People interested in casting can post in this thread an you can maintain a list in your Original Post (if that is what you want to do, I'm not sure). If enough people reply, maybe that will give TL reasons to create a new section. And by "enough", I mean "many".

If needed, I could create a thread for you and manage it.

seeker love the idea, do you think 1 thread is enough for casters? I want it to be a sc2 caster community, not just about some casters, make sense.

that sounds awesome SeeKeR, let me know when you have it started. Will have all our casters use it as well.

I worry that any threads where people are going to have the ability to talk openly to/about casters/casting will turn into a giant shitfrest (look at some of the issues in the khaldor feedback thread). Maybe something similar to the "practice partner thread" but for casters "available caster thread" or something (there was an attempt at a casters seeking casters thread but for it to work it would almost have to be remade a few times a year (similarly to the way the practice partner thread is redone every season).... Just something to think about if anything will come from this.
Really the best option for a "caster community" would be to have their own [seperate] website =/

Kind of like a casters hang out spot. It wont be intended for outside ppl to use.

I think that this is a great idea to help casters gain recognition and get critiqued by other casters.
