He should cut off a part of the army as well as buy time.

Polt spawns as the red Terran in the top left position. Tails spawns as the blue Protoss in the top right position.
Stephano is in the Gomstudio.
4:00min Tails is going for a fast 2nd Gas this time while Polt goes for 1-Rax-Expand once more.
6:00min Tails goes for a very fast Robo and a Forge (Wapr Prism-Cannon shenanigans???) Polt builds his Bunker at the natural and add 2 Rax like before. Tails uses his Forge for a fast +1 Armor upgrad and builds an Observer and then Immortals 8:00min Tails is still on one base, getting the 2nd Immortal and adding 2 Gateways. Polt snipes the Observer, builds a 2nd Bunker and adds Marauders. Tails pushes out now with +1 Armor finishing and 2 Immortals on the map. Polt half of the army with an SCV and builds his 3rd Bunker. Tails pushes in and with Force Fields is able to kill 2 Bunkers but disengages and waits for another warpin. Tails pushes in again and kills the last Bunker but Stim and Combat shields finishes. Tails uses Force fields to keep Polt from engaging. Polt doesn't stim just yet and both players dance around, not wanting to commit just yet. 11:00min Tails finally engages now and with decent Force Fields he is able to kill a lot of Polts units but Polt wins a very close fight. Both players are below 30 workers and Tails backs off and tries to take his expansion now. 12:00min Polt finishes +1 attack research and Medivacs and has a good mix of Marines and Marauders. Tails has only 3 Sentries, 2 zealots and 5 Stalkers. 14:00min Polt pushes out now but Force Fields keep him back for now and Tails got Stalkers on the high ground to snipe possible elevator tactics.
Polt forces the Stalkers down the ramp with an attack and now drops two Medivacs full of units into the main. This time Force Fields can't save Tails and Polt takes the game and therefore the series with a score of 2-1!

So glad Polt won there. He's definately the better player.

They were seriously overlapping. They were bad.

So what is that build supposed to beat? Faster tech? Polt scouted it and didn't even pull SCVs and held without too much trouble regardless.

Team Polt!
So far so good in my Liquibet for today :D

I think Tails tried to play to his strength which is his array of clever builds. Nice mechanics by Polt.

I didn't get why he didn't wait a third Immortal. I think he hit too early.

Oh man. I feel so bad for Seed; I've done America-to-Asia flights and it's just so completely debilitating. T_T

True that. I was more responding to Wolf's comment thinking he was expecting Tails to trap some units, but thinking about it, you're right about the overlap. Didn't matter much in the end though; he'd already lost.

Why vote No? That build was quite interesting and would have beaten a lower Terran player. The game was close at one point and it was cool to see something innovative even though it didn't work out for Tails.

I can imagine. America-Europe is bad enough. Hope he at least doesn't just get rolled though.
