Giving up a lottery pick for Lowry while they are still stuck with Bargs? :/ ETA: Their defense should go up a notch though. what were you expecting? raptors will never trade bargs. and while i still fully believe raptors will not significantly move up the ladder, houston is gambling that raptors will do just as bad and get a high enough pick to make it worth it. pretty risky. also lin's offer from houston pretty low ... at 5/5/10/10 over 4 years

Ok, my bad! Then I'm not sure why the Raptors are gunning for every PG in the league ;p On July 06 2012 09:30 Chunhyang wrote: Anyone hear stuff about what the Bulls plan to do in Rose's absence? Not sure if they have a clear cut plan, I think a lot depends on whether or not Luol Deng has surgery on his wrist after the Olympics, even without Rose the team is good enough to make the playoffs, but if we're missing Deng (who'll miss a fair chunk of the first half of the season) aswell it'll be a tough season, I guess all we can do is wait :<

Toronto really thinks Lowry is a significant upgrade? being on the last year of his contract means that he could be amnestied to free up salary space for a vet/high caliber player (since raps will never trade bargnani)

As happy as I am to see him play again (and on an up-and-comer that you just can't help but love), I sure hope he doesn't come to regret this comeback later in life. I really wonder how much impact he can have? I'm imaginging T-Mac post all his knee dramas (Hawks version) which would be sad for Roy IMO. It'll be intersting to see how he adjusts his game given he prob can't keep up physically anymore.

Bynum himself is pretty good Also Lin's contract seems huge, I hope he lives up even to 50% of the hype.

But yeah no cartilage on your knees is gonna be tough in an 82-game season. He's under a lot of pressure to perform on the court and NY will turn on him in that third year if he doesn't, but that contract's a no-brainer from the owner's seat.

I think playing with Kobe and Gasol has made him look better than he is. But in saying that it could be the best offer Orlando gets. I doubt any of the small market teams would want a year of Dwight rental when he'd be 99% out the door by season's end. So I guess Orlando has to decide if they want a blow-it-up rebuild (let Dwight walk or try get picks for him) or try salvage the best of the situation (take on a downgrade like Bynum).
