All right, so after quite some time of "maintaining a heavy dislike" for SC2, I will get my own copy of it tomorrow. I've played the beta, I played on a friend's account, watched streams and since then (which is almost one and a half year) BW only, dismissing SC2 as an unworthy sequel to Brood War.
Why am I making this blog then, and why do I want to try SC2 again? Maybe Jaedong fanboyism, maybe I want to give the game another chance, maybe the fact that the ISL has ended...nevertheless, I have one thing to ask from the SC2 community: show me THE game. Nono, not SC2 in terms of builds/etc., but what the best MATCHes of SC2 are....sick comebacks, amazing micro, the kind of games that keep you on the edge of your seat. Show me why YOU watch and play SC2.

The most recent "OMG this is so fucking amazing" match was MKP vs Stephano from MLG Spring Championships, winners' semi-finals. The VODs aren't out yet but should be some time today. Those games were pretty fantastic and the Apollo-Wheat combo were pretty great at casting them.

Honestly, the games are rarely great, it's usually the hype that makes the game fun to watch. Nevertheless, when both hype and great gameplay come together, it makes for some insanely awesome moments. My favourite one is the GSTL finals between Slayers and MVP where MMA and DRG play each other in the final match. Hype, great gameplay, and a sick comeback. SO fucking epic.

If you don't get it, then you don't get it. It's not a bad thing. SC2 isn't for every BW fanboy. Why do I watch? 1) It's entertaining. 2) It doesn't take that long to enjoy a match between two top competitors. For any other "organized" sport it may take several hours to watch a match unfold (not saying that I don't enjoy these, but it all depends on any time constraints I'm under)
My questions for you are, Why are you trying to like a game you have admitted to "maintaining a heavy dislike" for "quite some time?" Did the Kespa Invitational spark something in you? Or is this all you, and your desire to really try and get into a growing community? Honestly this sounds to me like: I miss all my BW matches of ye olden time, I just saw the paragons of the BW scene play some pretty sick games at the latest MLG event, and you know that a lot of these BW Gods are going to transition into SC2 and you don't want to miss out on their play just because you don't like game they are playing.
So it sounds to me that your best bet at getting to "like" SC2 is going to be to follow a player (jaedong) or group of BW players as they transition into SC2 tournaments. And out of that you will develop your own feelings towards sick comebacks (Stephano v Kiwikakki (can't remember which tournament it was with amazingly timed mothership recalls)), amazing micro (maybe watch the self professed "I'm top 3 in control in the world" Huk, then watch any of the BW players in the Kespa Invitational to see what real micro looks like), games that keep you on the edge of your seat (anything with Idra, cause you never know when he will "GG" or just rage quit when he has the game won).

Yeah, I want to give the game another chance because of Kespa Invitational; it has changed a bit since the last time I saw it, maybe it's worth my time. We'll see.
Great suggestions so far btw

I recommend DRG vs MMA from the 2011 Blizzard Cup finals, MOST especially the last game; HerO vs IdrA at Dreamhack a loong time ago when HerO first joined Teamliquid (there should be a replay available at least if you google HerO IdrA Metalopolis); MC vs Thorzain from TSL3 on Tal'darim Altar is also a pretty nice game. Not as memorable as the first in particular, but fun nonetheless.
