Oh shit he voted for me?
Vanilla Townie + Show Spoiler +
Yes, I'm afraid my lack of stance on whether RNG is beneficial for town is NOT indicative of my alignment. The truth is, I can see both sides of the argument, so I'm fine with whatever. I suggest you don't lynch me because of that.
I've got opinions. I intend to share them with the class.

And for the record, I'm down with lynching Radfield. <3

You also avoided a question I made to you:
What do you think of Wiggles?
Not only that, but:
What do you think of Radfield? Do you think he's scum by the way you cast some suspicion on him? What do you think about Palmar, and his switch from trying to use RNG to ignoring it and voting MZ using "analysis" ?
I now have time to answer these questions.
You misunderstood my purpose by refering to Radfield I was, as you said, defending myself by pointing out others acting similarly to me. I was not however condemning him. My opinion of radfield, as most people at this stage, is fairly null, but leaning townie. He has not, however, really made and direct contributions towards actual players, and only recently supported Hesmyrr.
I am more confident in Palmar at the current moment. As radfield actually stated discussion a RNG lynch, and then using reactions to dictate your target is perfectly fine. It is always ok in my book to swap votes or lynch targets as long as you have a good reason.
I am suspicious of Wiggles. Its not much at the moment, but His major post (which was fairly recent) discusses really nothing that happened recently. He states he is against a RNG lynch, but then says cases where he would be OK with it. Its this kind of indirectness that I don't want to see.

Who would you lynch Grey?

There's no assurance you actually RNG'ed that, so I'm wondering why you want to kill Ace. Do you actually support an Ace lynch? Your next post looks weird too, asking if Ace is backing off RNG when he said you're jumping the gun and that your RNG isn't valid. False pressure, and all that.
Actually that screenshot WAS my very first try though I would have probably rerolled till 3 (Ace) showed up had it not shown up at first. I obviously don't think day one lynch should be based on RNG but I do think RNG as a starter can act very prominently as a very strong type of pressure. Usually people start off the game with a "Blank is mafia, lynch him ##vote" and then they work off that (I do this often) but recently it hasn't been working so well. RNG on the other hand, especially if it seems like many townies are behind it, allows for an opening move that puts an extreme amount of pressure on the person who was "RNG"-ed. Obviously they all kind of are in the know that the RNG target is not the final lynch but that they make it SEEM like that person is. This allows for massive pressure.
I picked Ace for this move for two reasons. One is because he's Ace. He has the potential to be extremely devastating as mafia and so I wanted to start the game off as strongly as possible against him to figure him out. And two is because he himself supported the concept of RNG and so for him to be the "RNG" target would put him in a position where he can't just back off of it. This was why I posted that second post about him backing off. My responses to Radfield are all responses to try to get him to understand what I was trying to do with the fake RNG policy -_- and so I had to be ambiguous cause obviously if mafia knows it's fake then it doesn't work. Either way I tried, it didn't work as well as I hoped since not enough people went along with it, and Ace is just deflecting all pressure.
I actually wasn't even sure how RNGs really worked which is why I asked Radfield.
Either way, I'm interested in something else now.

Im not suspicious because me and iGrok have hosted together multiple times. I know not to put stock in Role PMs being different as he changes them on purpose, or gives them different names, he also puts sample Role PMs in the OP.
so yea, I don't put stock in Vanilla townie being too different from Vanilla towny

So when I went to Palmar's site VE was the first choice, does that mean we lynch him?
Also I'm struggling to comprehend how my opposition to RNG makes me scum. From what I've gathered, certain people think that because opposing RNG is a townie thing to do (albeit an "easy" townie thing to do), I must be scum attempting to gain town cred? By that logic, proposing RNG would be a scummy thing to do so why don't we lynch everyone who wanted to do that?
For those who want to know what "UnRadfield like" is, I give you examples A, B, and C:
On June 10 2012 08:23 Radfield wrote:Hizzah! No setup to talk about! No roles to direct! Nothing but cold hard calculation...! No medic and no ability to confirm townies means that every player needs to actually play, and establish themselves. No spamming, no coasting, etc. Given that, lets lynch into the players who are most difficult to find and the players with the best scum play. In this case that's ace and.... uhmmm.... well, just Ace I suppose Seems like a good policy to me!
On June 10 2012 08:24 Radfield wrote:I doubt that. What a scummy thing to say.
On June 10 2012 08:25 Radfield wrote: In other news we could RNG a lynch. Ace, Palmar! GOGOGO!
These were his first 3 posts and I've never seen him acting so cavalier. Radfield is a careful player but these did not strike me as careful posts. Even if he's just joking, it struck me as a very odd way to start the game because at the very least it just muddies up the thread right off the bat.
MZ was randomly slinging mud on me to start, when I'm player least worth focusing on Day 1. There is no medic this game, which means I'll either die or catch scum... or else I'm probably scum.
Can we hold you to this Radfield? Would you be willing to die on say, day three, if you're still alive?

What a ridiculous thing to ask. Why would you even ask this? What does this question accomplish? You're basically asking if it's ok to settle on a lynch of Radfield on D3 if he's not dead, which mafia can then exploit if he is townie.
|
What strikes me as "unRadfieldlike" is how little he's interested in getting people to comment on others. In other games I've played with him as town, he's consistently asking people what they think of others, trying to get that information in the thread. What I've seen this game is a less motivated Radfield, more interested in chit-chat and buddying with others than getting their opinions of their peers.
This is why I'm down to lynch Radfield. I don't think he's townRadfield. I think he's scumRadfield.

That's the point, what a ridiculous thing for Radfield to claim, scum can already do exactly what you described with what Radfield said. He's using the probability of him dying quickly as town to deflect suspicions off of him which is incredibly strange. I'm asking because I want him to explain why he said it in the first place when there's literally zero reason for a townie to make that claim.

He did it as a joke to my previous post, most null tell you can get in this side of the galaxy.
I wonder if massclaiming our "flavour" could do anything at all...... (it mostly won't, since it's likely scum get fake-names as well, like in LI)

I found that a little bit odd....mostly because I couldn't fathom how somebody could have taken my post seriously >_>
Then again...you did as well <_<
It is odd that, in the case he did take my post seriously...he didn't find it strange at all (considering the freaking Role PMs are in the OP and nobody is "Vanilla Townie" nor "Vanilla Towny").
Grey isn't contributing anything other than his wishy-washy read on Radfield and Palmar, and him being slightly "suspicious" of Wiggles.
For someone who was eager to start analyzing and shit that's lazy as fuck.
He hasn't done anything to convince me otherwise, so I'll leave my vote on him and want him pressured until he is forced to give more content, or just die as scum.
chaoser, you still haven't commented on my case on Grey nor his response to it.
