The videos are so scripted that Im about to throw up. :S And what is wrong with that ? I personaly dont like Day9 , but i know that is his job.. everyone wanna make money. You gonna give him cash for living ? i think everyone could notice the game was probably staged and commentated in a fashion to display all the new utilities of both zerg and protoss but that was the point of this video so they did a good job, plus it was funny to see zerg throw away the game on purpose last 5 minutes of that game xD im so excited for hots man, only thing i dont like are the 22range flying catapults. they seem to force toss victory every single game in split map scenario how do you break a massive toss defensive line with those bastards chipping away at you? i dont think its possible. but its stupid to talk balance already its just random a thought of mine. otherwise from that i like the changes for zerg really much, except the ultralisk change, which will obviously be nerfed or removed
Yeah I don't even understand why the ultra changed was implemented.
Morrow what are your thoughts on Terran?

IMO I like how they are bringing some of the similarities of BW back to hots. Idk, it just kinda remind me of bw haha
do you guys feel the same why?

And that is what is really funny about all this. In WOL and now even more in HOTS, the high tech units in the game seem to just hard counter other high tech units, so much so they you're constantly forced back on to Tier 1 units.
I guess I need to work heavily on Blink Stalker micro.
I said in an earlier post that they need to remove Abduct and just give the Viper Neural Parasite, but keep it at it's current range. The Infestor already has infested terran and fungal growth, that's good enough.

I just got a new cheese idea: proxy factory widow mine rush. Around 5 minutes in you should be able to get your mines into the mineral lines.

Yeah it seems to be a strange concept that they can trade the energy of the viper for a Tank, Collosi, etc. But I guess I will have to wait and see this unit in action. However, I'm guessing players are going to exceed Blizzard's expectations with these units

Really looking forward to hots. Especially abduct, can't wait to see colossi deathballs cut down :D.

i think warhound can counter even zealot, because they can kite them
anyway why no TVP battlereport?

Yeah, I don't see the Protoss metagame changing much. I guess we'll be a little stronger against all-ins and we'll have more security with attacks from MS Core, but we're still going to be going fast third into Colossi, because the Tempest isn't AoE and because Colossi are still the best AoE unit we have. Now it's just going to be like Zerg has a better version of neural on a unit that's way harder to kill, especially since Colossi can't even hit it. HTs are too slow and unwieldy to be effective against flying units of that number and speed (just like the counter to mass Infestor was more Colossi, not mass Temps).
It's sad because I actually really like the MS Core idea. The Oracle is sorta uninspired I think, and the Tempest just seems like it has about 1 use (killing BLs in Bl/Infestor) which I'm fine with, but I kinda doubt Protoss will ever be able to pressure or hold pressure in the midgame since Colossi are going to be so, so awful.

Agreed. I only can hope that someday fungal will not inhibit movement completely, so that we could get passed chain fungal with impunity.

I'm guessing because Terran really doesn't have that much to offer in HotS. And it is Heart of the Swarm after all.

The "get over here" ability(range 7ish) out ranged by vikings and the viper only has 120 HP. As long as the tanks are not the first unit on the front line, I don't think vipers are going to have the easiest time pull them off. The ability also has the same range as a missile turret.

More of the same rush-based Terran is what it appears we will have. I was really hoping for late game options...

tbh I wish FF was gone and Fungal only slowed units and not stopped completely. Don't think it'll ever be changed

If anything gets them to change fungal it will be the blinding swarm + fungal combo. Abduct + Neural looks like it might be brutal too.

Same old story, can't remove FF without also radically changing warpgates, which is really really unlikely.

well it would certainly stop all this stupid new wave of nexus before cyber or nexus forge expanding that has been happening recently.

Or maybe they will release it today.
