Are you serious dude? You complain that Destiny supporters derailed this thread.. but then you go on to call someone a freak show, an insecure human being, etc. etc.
I agreed with some of your points until you obnoxiously put someone down for absolutely no reason.

This thread is ridiculous. GIGABYTE made the correct decision. Even if Destiny is not a racist the fact that things he has said in the past, things which tens of thousands of people are now aware of and can associate with Destiny would have also been associated with GIGABYTE. How many other worldwide and leading companies do you see endorsing people who have been known to spout racial slurs when something doesn't go their own way.
Everyone shut the fuck up and just enjoy the event and support GIGABYTE seeing as they do a shitload for eSports.

Your handle is "CarpetCleaner", how can anyone take this seriously?

Well, I am a certified Destiny fanboy, but I still think this tournament will be good. Vote with your wallet and your feet, certainly, but by jumping on this drama bandwagon and getting vocal we are violating two things that should be taboos in esports right now. Firstly increasing sponsor insecurity...people could really use sponsorships from these big companies. Secondly, putting casters on the pedestal. I'm aware Destiny is a player too, but in this tournament he was only supposed to be casting some games. Laughing off the tournament as shit tier because they chose to withdraw one good caster is a huge insult to the guys that are supposed to be the real stars of the event.

Thank you for this measure of neutral sanity.

Why you think all the kewl esports kiddies are moving to Cali?
eSports is going, going, back back, to Cali Cali...

I'll still watch, but I'm really disappointed Destiny was dropped.
|
I'm not watching this. If they revoke having Destiny as a caster because a tiny group of so-called 'white knights' complained about stuff he said on stream which he subsequentially renounced because it was causing him so much drama and negativity then I will revoke my time that I would have spent watching this event.
The haters didn't even give Destiny a chance to turn over a new leaf, they just went straight over in an attempt to shit all over his reputation.

We should start reflecting whether we really want to embroil the sponsors in our internal e-dramas, if you don't want the sponsors to respond/react to them.

I hope the GESL does well, but I personally will not be supporting/watching it due to Destiny no longer casting. I have no ill will towards GIGABYTE or the tournament organizers, but I do not agree with the actions they have taken.
