Add a gateway to your battle.net list manually

I will briefly explain how to manually add a gateway to your battle.net list using regedit. First start -> run, type in regedit and push enter. Now go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Battle.net -> Configuration

Double click battle.net gateways. You should see something like this:

02
uswest.battle.net
8
U.S. West
useast.battle.net
6
U.S. East
asia.battle.net
-9
Asia
europe.battle.net
-1
Europe

NOTE: If your gateway list is already screwed up, simply delete all the text you see here, and hit ok. Now next time you go to the battle.net screen, the four default battle.net gateways will appear again. The format for adding a gateway is as follows:
Server address
Time zone
Server name

So let's say you wanted to add Bnet-X to your server list, you would just add this to the bottom:
bnetx.pgtour.net
-5
Bnet-X

So your Battle.net gateways string would now look like:
1001
02
uswest.battle.net
8
U.S. West
useast.battle.net
6
U.S. East
asia.battle.net
-9
Asia
europe.battle.net
-1
Europe
bnetx.pgtour.net
-5
Bnet-X

Just hit OK and you're done!

...or you can download the Battle.net Gateway Editor and do the same thing in 3 clicks.

Last time I used one of those gateway editors, my gateway list resetted to the four default gateways when I restarted broodwar.

Anyway, this is the main reason why I bothered to post this:

Many times I see posts that say "just add it to your registery" when talking about servers. Well, I dont know how to do that. The furthest I get is Run > regedit.

Can someone please write a detailed, step-by-step guide to adding a gateway to the starcraft registry? I would appreciate it very much. Write it like you were explaining it to your grandfather. You can post it here or make a new, helpful, informative thread that I will add to the articles section.

Does using BWLauncher make any conflicts with other servers staying such as Fish?

I dont think so. I tried adding 2 servers (fish and abyss) with that method and both stayed (also pgtour didnt get deleted)

Hi all!

Help would be needed!

I am Hungarian, because of this Hungarian Battle.net I play a server. His name: Kani.hu
This Kani.hu not perfect, and is not going sometimes. That let it be possible to play it till then, Demon (admin) a temporary server what is going always.
It is necessary to put this in the gateway into a list.
With an editor. And I see it when I would go to play that the temporary server, and it neat Kani.hu is not there at a little magnifier beside Battle.net into the list.
I tried to put in both servers again with the editor, but I am putting it in vain, likewise only the 4 bases there is a server there.
Would you not be able to help me?
(Sorry, if my text is a little bit strange, but I am not top notch perfect in English
