Though I'm glad that teams can combine like this for the better good, I'm not sure if all the Vile members are on par with some of the Quantic players
Regardless, best of luck

Not... the love of eSports, not... the love of their fans or players, not... fun. Money. Money. Money. Buisness is money, money, money. Without money we wouldn't have eSports. Do you actually think that every single sponsor for every single team actually would support their selected team if the game became less profitable? No.

It's money, no company is going to sponsor a team out of their good little hearts. No they hope to make a return, it's an investment not a "here you can go to tournaments, possibly win money, free travel and we don't care if we sell nothing!" Sure some companies sponsor because they like esports, but if they make no money whatsoever from it or whatever I guarantee it they wouldn't sponsor any teams.

Money is a huge part of it, I understand business perfectly well. But, is your purpose in life to MAKE MONEY? If so, that's really unfortunate.

Another point to be made is that the growth of esports and the desire for money are not mutually exclusive. The more money to be made in a given industry will inevitably lead to a larger industry.
