[Image-heavy] Finally diamond! with Battle Report

Hi TL! I decided to make a battle report out of my game which awarded me a promotion to diamond. I've recently picked up couple of builds from Polt and MKP to fight against the overwhelmingly popular zerg (25/46 of my games are TvZ this season).

This game was special in that regard that I managed to pull to diamond in the beta and since the release, I've always ended up in platinum. In last season I decided that it's time to Learn to Play, instead of doing semi-allins which work once in a while, but produce rather boring games. Games from then to now have been much more intensive and long macrogames.

Now the goal is finally achieved, time to celebrate and pick up the pace to head for Master league!

Ahh, another TvZ in this great morning.

Scout saw only FE and I proceeded to go for reactor hellion, stim and 3 rax for stim timing with medivacs

After burning some creep tumors with hellions, he decided to make a ling/roach push while taking a third

However, the push was deflected, even if I supply blocked myself for quite a while .__.

Stim, +1/+1 and 2 medivacs gave me confidence to push forward to his third.

Third gets wiped out without much of a resistance, his infestor tech hadn't kicked in yet. I was afraid he had already built fourth somewhere and felt uneasy.

I tried to make a drop in his main while pushing with other group to his ramp, but instead I lost both groups to ling/infestor without making significant damage. But I felt my pressure was enough to keep him busy so I could take a third myself.

I decided I need to keep up the pressure, and pressed forward trying to keep tabs on his army movement

And here we go! marine&marauder was split for small groups and I hoped for the best.

Somehow tanks managed to survive in high ground, giving me edge to push to his rebuilt third.

17 minutes and no armory. .....

Third gets taken out and I take positions to contain him into his natural.

Infestors throw beach balls towards tanks and tanks return fire.

big engangement in his 2nd ramp and he manages to break the containment, I noticed later on that half of my army was locked inside my base lol.

Poor medivacs can't heal each other and infestors see an opportunity for EE HAN FUNGAL!

AAAAA :D I laughed and cried inside at the same time.

Zerglings streamed into my third and everything seems to be in crisis, where the hell is my reinforcements?!

I notice my base crush squad in 12clock expansion and recall them to aid in battle.

Without mining bases zerg, seems to be running out of steam and I figured I can just trade ineffiently and keep him from expanding. He valiantly defended his main like a boss.

After scouting more expansions from me, he tapped out.

GG, finally in Diamond league!

Much better than my game getting into diamond. Guy just left at the start becasue he didnt like zvz.

You should actually take a screenshot of the promotion screen. Of all the things to forget....

congrats man. remember that armory and you'll be headed for masters!
