Following the advice of Mr. David Ting and being a huge fanboy, I once again found myself paying for this weekend’s MLG Spring Arena #1. I think supporting MLG is a worthy investment and I’m happy they adjusted their price to be more reasonable versus their first PPV venture. Fortunately, instead of paying $30 for the entire season, BAH has a MLG Gold Membership and it only cost $15.
But there was a problem. BAH couldn’t get his account to work at all. We tried logging in on multiple browsers and deleting cookies, but we just couldn’t access his account. So I jokingly suggested that we call MLG…and it turned out they really do have a number. BAH called to figure out why he can’t log in. He instantly got a real live person who was extremely helpful. There wasn’t even an automated message stating what the line was; a real live person said “Yo, this is the MLG Support Line. How can I help you?” After sorting out the fact that somehow BAH’s account magically disappeared and needed to be reinserted into the system, we happily settled into watch some StarCraft action.
I was really surprised that MLG had such good customer support. I’m so used to having automated systems and run-around prompts. It was really nice to just get a real person to talk to. My thanks to MLG for trying to take care of even the smallest items. Now if only they could change their brackets so that they make more sense.
Edit: Apparently the number changes to live chat? I swear it was there though: 1-855-472-2654
