My friend was only rank 11 last season and he played against Idra today, who was top GM with barely any losses. I am also mid master and I played a diamond, which I usually don't. Whoops. He actually played nony, not idra. But nony was still GM last season.

According to that picture... he was low masters and you also got to realize that Blizzard said they would allow lower MMR players to play players with higher MMR than before in this new season.

My alternate account is normally diamond and I intentionally dropped 15 games in a row, got demoted to rank 92 plat, and one game I will face a gold league player while another I will face a top 30 diamond. It's very interesting, I can't wait to ladder for real, especially on my main where I'm hoping to play some GMs !

I don't get how 6m gold bases aren't confusing to anyone but 6m/1hyg bases are so confusing they can't be put into the game.

Destructible rocks allowing an alternative path in to my natural is going to make it a nightmare to FFE against a Zerg player (or even protect against any fast attack in general). Both Terran and Zerg attack forces can really get good concaves and abuse the Protoss lack of mobility at the natural (similar to Arid Plateau, which I hated). Also, there is so much room behind my third base that all the cannons in the world couldn't protect from Terran drops, not to mention that there's a lot of extra open air space for mutalisks and medivacs and overlords to hide and fly behind. I see myself downvoting Ohana. EDIT: And then I opened up Metropolis and started laughing. If Ohana was bad to take an expansion as a Protoss, Metropolis is impossible. 4-player instead of Ohana's 2-player map (can't quickly scout) plus an even larger natural with backdoor rocks (larger surface area for a bio or roach rush). My downvotes this season will be Metalopolis, Metropolis, and Ohana. I like Daybreak though 1. Those maps are great for FFE. Just place your 2nd pylon in range of the destructible rocks and if you see him trying to break them down, put up cannons and use forcefields. They can't be dropped quickly because he needs roaches to destroy them. And if you weren't ready for that, then you weren't gonna be ready for a roach-ling all in. I think the backdoor rocks are more of a problem for PvT, where one pack of Marauders can break down the rocks in less than 5 seconds and snipe the Nexus. 2. Metropolis would be a horrible map if the close spawns are possible. I am highly doubtful close spawns are possible. It's really just another version of Shakuras Plateau.
