I don't see how this is entertaining at all, I remember watching this when i was young but man i was just a kid, I thought it was real. I mean no disrespect to the OP or anyone else, I am just wondering. I havent watched it in about 6 years, but I heard the rock was fighting cena at wrestlemania, so I tuned in for that. Then I maily watch highlights when brock appears

I watch it (the storylines crack me up, and a good worker can really work a crowd), it's scripted television where you get a gladitorial element to it. In the end, it's scripted, not fake, but taking steps to protect each other. If it wasn't fake, someone would be dead every episode, or it would be extremely boring. Now, the Lesnar vs. Cena bloodying, I think it was an unintentional bonus for them. He was bleeding out of the mouth, normally if they wanted blood intentionally (and WWE shys away from that now), he would have cut his forehead.

+ Show Spoiler + Lesnar cut open Cena's head with his elbow Sunday night. Cena returned the favor with his bike chain to Lesnar's skull. Both bleeding by the end of the match. Definitely real blood. As to why people watch it? It's just a fun soap opera for the guys (and gals, and kids...). There are (shaky at best) storylines and you can have fun predicting the twists and turns of the matches and hang out with your buddies. You can root for the good guys, the bad guys, pick your favorite wrestler or whatever you want to do. There's a community behind it, it's the most-watched show on Monday-night TV at least as far as ratings are concerned so a lot of eyes are on it. It's not so different from watching other kinds of fictional shows like 24 or Lost. Would you disparage people for watching football or baseball? (I do, to my friends at least, for a bit of fun )
