It's not a valid statement if you only count the big ones and yeah .. i just throw them out the window. Most of the ones here are smaller to medium sized, lots of daddy-long-legs. Maybe I just like torturing things, but so far it's only towards Spiders.

Granted, I'm not a psychologist, so I probably shouldn't be trying to diagnose you, but I AM one of the (probably many) guys who were seriously creeped out by what you do. For completeness' sake, when I see insects, I leave them be, as they are usually interesting. If they are large/wierd/potentially dangerous, I carry them outside. EDIT: Just going to pre-empt anyone telling me that spiders are not insects, which is an obvious fact that I know. I am using the word "insect" to describe all creatures of that type of size and general body structure.

LOL , man you guys are messed up, but then again I did this when I was younger too. Crazy, I guess it isn't just you. :-P :-P !

Maybe hold off on the appointment until you start "working" on small, furry animals as opposed to insects. Let us squelch him before he develops and leaves the cocoon.

Like, pin it with something (preferably a knitting pin) and begin to torture it until it ceases to move. This usually entails removal of limbs, dissection of the body and making it look like I am preforming acupuncture. I was doing this to a spider I found on my ceiling in my room when my dad started questioning what I was doing, I just looked back with a slight grin on my face and said "Nothing." Yeah.. spider's are creepy..
