Third Player Announcement - SjoW We are excited to reveal that third player that will be competing in the invitational is Jeffrey "DignitasSjoW" Brusi! "A tournament like this is a real treat for the community. I'm happy to attend and support esports events like this. To be frank, I would have expected something of this quality to be an MLG/IPL collab. special event or something. You have a cool event name, pro players, amateur players, good personalities, pro player appearances, a professional looking post, and a host of other things, topped off by a whopping 10,000 dollar prize pool. I can't wait to watch this.

I'm really excited to be apart of this event, and really hope to put on a good event for the community that will forge these two communities together!

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say without any evidence or idea of the truth whatsoever, that Day9 was invited to cast and he turned it down. If esports continues like this (shitty invitational formats + turning to ppv) it will die really really fast in the West. Korea will remain as the final vestige of professional Starcraft like it used to.

Yay...... lets watch the same 32 players duke it out like they always do, without having to go through any qualifiers whatsoever. And they get the fat juicy $10k prizepool while the Collegiates get to split $1.5k. First of all, seeing as we only know 3 players, your comment that it's always the same players is really stupid, not that it would be any better if we already knew everyone playing. Also, not every tournament has time to set up long qualifiers for every event, not to mention a lot of players wouldn't even be able to make it to certain tournaments in the first place, hence, the invitational. This isn't some online invitational, the players have to actually be there. And, of course the tournament with the PROFESSIONAL players is going to have a bigger prize pool. Quit embarrassing yourself with your apocalyptic predictions.

I am amazed and proud of what college students at Texas are able to accomplish. This is their forth tournament and it has grown by leaps and bounds. I'm happy have seen that growth and to see Nony and Stephano and Sjow come to Texas to battle it out. Hears to more and better players, I can only hope that more people will come out so that more companies will allow us the opportunity to showcase and find out new and up and coming stars.
