Happy Valentines Day!
I just drew this:
Now, for a little gift of easy present advice!
Flowers, chocolates, we all know the cliche gifts, but what are some unique gift ideas?
IDEAS
Dried Flowers: What's the point of flowers that die after just a few days? At many farmer's markets, you can get bouquets of dried flowers that smell great, look good and last over a year! If you want to give a special guy or gal a gift that will remind them for months to come how sweet you are, this is a great gift!
Poetry: Poetry is always a good choice. It's personal, romantic and gives you a chance to show your creativity. Sonnets are the most traditional romantic poems and you only have to get 7 pairs of rhyming words to write one (look to Shakespeare's sonnets for ideas). If you don't feel like you could write a poem, no problem! Just find one that fits your situation and write it as nicely as possible (just be sure to note the author at the bottom, no one finds plagiarism romantic).
Handmade Card: Or computer-made card. With technology these days there is really no excuse for not making a personal card. Personal cards are cute and always appreciated more than the ones you fork an arm and leg over for from Hallmark! Use a picture from facebook, photoshop hearts on it and ta-da! Personal card!
Craft Gifts: Again, effort is romantic. If there are any crafts you are good at, take advantage of it! Sketching, sculpting, modeling! Hell, paint a Valentine's themed Warhammer piece, it's still romantic. If you really find yourself incompetent at crafts, go to the nearest bead store and make a bracelet. Most bead stores have super helpful staff that will be willing to lead you through the entire process, make sure your beads match well and probably even help you tie your finished product.
Homemade Food: Cookies, cake, a romantic dinner, everyone loves food! It's a great way to say "I care for you and I don't think you're fat." And don't worry! Everyone can cook, it's as easy as following any other set of instructions. I'm sure google will be more than willing to provide you with many sites that offer simple, delicious recipes and ideas!
As for myself, I am wrote a sonnet and I made some clay ornaments: a heart with wings, Nidalee's spearhead, Master Yi's sword and Taric's hammer! ;D Luckily, I'm dating a geek.
