He's having this big hissy fit and then Radivel, the owner of SC2GG (which has a near-monopoly on the other popular form of foreign BW content, english-commentary) steps in and says come to SC2GG we'll treat you right there etc. etc. So Baezzi storms off TL and says don't use the content I upload by linking it on your forums/embedding it in your database blah blah. And then everyone hates Radivel and SC2GG. This all happened when I was a BW-neophyte and actually staff on SC2GG and not Teamliquid so someone else may be able to better-explain it. But it was a big deal in a time when there was no TwitchTV, no Owned, no livestream, no mogulus, etc. There may have been a rare mms stream and many nights spent trying to watch BW live through chinese relays like pps and yaoyan (god fuck yaoyan seriously). So it was a big deal. | ||
