EPTSo why is this a problem? I’ve wanted to level up my gameplay for a while. Honestly, I just want to see how good I really can be if I put the time in to practice. In December I was good when I bet my buddy dinner. I played 50 games in about 3 weeks’ time, which is unprecedented for me. Then I went on Christmas/New Year’s break and played Brood War and stopped laddering.
Last night I was talking to Fallen as usual. And after asking him what he was up to, he threw down an ultimatum. “You should be laddering too! I’ll make a deal with you. If you make it to platinum or whatever the next level up is, I’ll pay for your player pass at the MLG Winter Championships.”
Fuck. Yes.
My boy came through for me. Talk about new motivation. Now I am only in gold so even if I manage to get to platinum or diamond, I’m going to get rolled in Columbus. Who gives a shit?!
Will I level up my Terran? Yes.
Will I get to play in my first LAN? Yes.
Will I get to walk around in the player area and sit in the player area? Yes.
Will I get stomped? Hell yes.
Will I get to have an amazing new experience? That’s the whole point.
