He's practicing hard after he came back from China. Saw him a while ago on Hero's stream, completely rolled Hero with really impressive play. I miss his stream though :<

So the only games Zenio can win are baneling busts? Nice pickup by Liquid...

Zenio should have gone broodlord/infestor, nevertheless it's always awful to see 3 base turtle deathballs win games.

funny that such "wall offs" still exists for pro gamers. but ez pz for Zenio!
|
yeah Zenio, gl with your all ins in a bo5 or bo7, if you somehow advance.
|
nightend's wall was screwed anyways. zerglings and zealots could get through but stalkers couldnt so he would have to knock down the pylon if he wanted to get out.

That was what i was referring to :p A walloff with a hole in it kinda needs a unit to plug that hole.

NightEnD did well to just never attack, because he knew Zenio had no hive tech options on the first set map... T_T Why would broodlords be torn apart? Broodlord Corruptor Infestor can only be countered with a mothership and archons really. And if you split your units you can still win. You can't ever split your army, and Tal'Darim is so wide open in the midmap that protoss can pick a better spot to engage. You move out with the broodlords, and all your expansions die to harass and blink stalkers dance all around sniping your broodlords. Thank you for having a brain.
So many times I see protoss players say "lol just split derp" and not realize that BLs cannot split. If I split, you just ignore me and go kill everything else. If I stay together, lol vortex.
TLDR - Don't transition to broods late game Tal darim against good Protoss.

It works, except you need Infestor support and a good surround with lings and banelings. Zenio never even bothered to do both. If you have infestors and a good surround with lings/blings you don't really need the ultras ~_~ If you don't get the ultras then you always run the risk of getting FFed and heavily stormed. Ling/bling is also really bad against the colossus/archon combo Nightend was going for. The ultras serve as the damage tanks in that unit composition.
He had so many of them they no longer function as tanks and more or less had been the builk of his army.

Are you trying a settle a bet with your manager than you can beat foreigners without broodlords? I'm actually pretty confused here, I kinda thought it was pretty clear that you can't really win with broodlords on Tal'Darim...
Sure, I'd agree with you generally, but given that Nightend didn't cross mid-field until 29 minutes or something ridiculous like that, and he had greater spire 10 minutes earlier, I'd say he had plenty of opportunity for broodlords.
Zenio had the map locked down with ling bling muta. When he started sacking supply, he should have started working towards ling-infestor-broodlord, with ling, infestor, and muta to delay Protoss if he started to move out.

Hoping NightEnd makes it through! lets go NightEnd

Especially on Tal'darim you pretty much need insane concentration and great multi-tasking to hold 3 bases against early mutas, it's no cakewalk.

MC is blamed cause he goes for 2 bases, Nigtend cause he goes for 3 bases. Any protoss bids more out there?
