Also, ForGG still is not an absolute top Brood War player, Artosis said MVP was better at Brood War by the time SC2 came out. And well, in a couple years time - assuming new Korean RTS talent starts playing SC2 rather than BW - there will be a new Flash/Jaedong for SC2. Players like Nada, Nal-Ra, oov, Savior were very good in their prime and were eventually surpassed as well by Bisu/Flash/Jaedong. Maybe next year a new player will come with even more talent than MVP.

That MSL in which he won against Flash, Kal and Jaedong, he did it through extreme calculating timing pushes. Outside of studying his opponents and exploiting their weakness to abuse it as much as possible, ForGG's mechanics is just your average a teamer

Nestea/MC/MMA were not that calibre of BW player and they have done incredibly well. ForGG is doing well but he's not as good as the others yet, if we take into account how long it took MVP to become relevant (4 seasons?) we can only assume that BW A-teamers are not going to steamroll the SC2 scene as predicted. Is the game's simplicity in comparison to blame? We could be seeing such things as macro being a given now and not the cornerstone of a great player but further their decisions in battle/strategic sense. Maybe that did not shine well as much for some players in BW? Basicly, we haven't seen anything to suggest yet that the BW players are going to steamroll the scene. Until we actually see them switch "AND" (that's a huge AND) dominate beyond showing good games it's just ignorant to assume such things. Basicly from what I've seen, because MVP is considered #1 (but has a few people right on his heels) and he wasn't the best BW player in the world people are assuming any BW pro could switch over and win GSL immediately without even trying. While the games share alot of similarities we really can't assume anything. And it's also a bit offensive how the BW community is doing it's best to undermine anything SC2 related.

Because he is incredibly daft if he believe that any broodwar top player can dominate after 1 month of playing Sc2. It took Forgg 8 months (yes he demolish code A) but it takes time to play a different game. The BW pros(stars) will have an advantage due to their working ethics and they will be good at sc2. But they wont beat the likes of Leenock ( who doesn't have BW backgrounds) or DRG (who is not very prominent in BW) in just 1 month let alone IMMVP. Its a different game and it will be exciting when the BW pros switched to starcraft 2 but they wont dominate after playing the game in just such a short time. This article insult the effort of SC2 players, make a mocking of their working ethics and said that the stars of BW whom played different game can just switched and dominate in 1 month. The elephant is exaggerated, make claims that are difficult to verify, offensive and the most important of all it create controversy. Face it guys its actually a troll in disguise

Funny how forGG, a person who surely would fit in the top 300 that OP is talking about, had 9 months for him to be the best but still only managed to drop out of the first round in code s. Im pretty sure the faces who are red will be the yaysayers.

Until a truly prominent player switch over to SC2 we just won't know.

But MVP doesn't fit, because MVP was already an SC2 player when the article was written saying "BW currently has 300 pros and semi-pros that can switch over and within a month dominate SC2" MVP was one of the SC2 players that were supposed to get dominated by the 300 BW pros and semi-pros.
