Yeah that's a current problem with chrome right now, we're trying to fix it.

Ugh, as a zerg player, I am so sick of hearing this. Ultras are not bad, sen was just bad. Go watch more DRG ZvT please, he's the only zerg that knows how to use ultras correctly.

Thanks for posting this question and response. I've been wondering about this for months.

How long did it take for all of the day 1 matches to play out? I have to get up early tomorrow so I'm wondering if I will have some time to watch a couple of the games for day 2.

C'mon did anyone seriously think he was going to get out of this group? I would have loved to see a foreigner advance and was cheering for him, but realistically he had no shot. Are you just basing that on the results, or did you actually watch the games? Just finished watching Game 1 of Sen vs Boxer, Sen had many opportunities to seal the deal.
Yes I watched them.
He could have sealed the deal, but he didn't. That is what seperates a champion from a guy who gets knocked out of during the group stages 0-2.

I've never seen 2 of my threads get constantly bumped like this. I like this a lot Oo

No offence to the Emperor either but Boxer is one of the weakest Code S player so going 0-2 vs him and almost winning one game isn't really much to shout about.
The Jjakji games demonstrated the different between top foreigner and GSL Champion.
It's a shame Sen didn't play Ganzi who's TvZ is better than Boxer's but worse than Jjakji's.
Sen was kind of unlucky to draw so many Terran's (his worst match-up) but it's Code S so hey-ho.

They should really stop giving foriegners spots in code s. there are tons of korean players who are so much better than them, but just get the spot becuase they are foriengers. I think all foriegners should be given code a spots or none at all, code s is just too much.

hey guys, let's call jjakji JJJ
After all, (assuming you pronounce the first j separately from the 2nd), it is 3 syllables, with J at the beginning of each.
Plus he's such a boss terran. Why not give him a 3 letter nickname?
JJJ MVP MMA
top 3 terran :D

Its to promote diversity so that the NATIONAL scene will be interested, I would HATE seeing it all KOREAN >> It's the GLOBAL STARCRAFT LEAGUE. Not KOREA.

Agree 100%, marines + medivacs are just too damn cost-effective. Hate to balance-whine, but I sure wish I could send 16 zerglings in ovies to a far-away T expansion and destroy it in ~30 seconds... You actually could if it was an orbital with adrenal glands. I shouldnt tell zerg players this, but dropping 2 overlords of linsg in a terran base and then spreading creep with the overlords after the raxes lift, or just killing reactors, is just as effective as terran drops. It's not my fault that zerg players refuse to even try in 99% of cases. Also, big drop/nydus with infestors hidden and waiting in overlord by ramp is fucking annoying.
I'm a zerg and I approve this msg. Hell, one overlord with four banelings is often enough to OBLITERATE any mining in these leagues. Not the same as killing the CC itself I guess, but certainly very cost effective.

Not really. When you're playing in a GSL group stage you are preparing for the player, not the race. Ganzi's TvZ =/= Jjakji's TvZ =/= Boxer's TvZ.

sorry but wheres the results like in bw proleague you open tourney open show results and i cant find it here?sorry i missed it

Was really impressed with Boxer's Game 1 against Sen. One thing I noticed about the GSL, is that it seems to set a common build order that trickles down through the ladder one season, then the next season we get to see new builds that deal with those old builds that we're all finding success with on the ladder and it sort of changes the matchups every season.

boxer did an impressive job almost beating jjakji, that little brat... so sad he has to go back to code a :'( but he showed he can still play at such a high level, so i'll never stop cheering for him!

It would make some sense to not give foreigners seeds if GOMTV was running a tournament, as opposed to a business and a tournament.
But they're in competition with the likes of MLG, IPL, etc. Failure to attract a global audience means being relegated to the little leagues of viewer counts. Some, accustomed to watching BW, might think that the level of competition is itself sufficient, but that's not the case.
Leagues and tournaments compete with each other. GSL wants to be a global league, and they're not going to be if they don't have foreigner competitors.

If you don't pay attentation you could lose the game against baneling drops in mineral lines, especially with upgrades very effective I agree.
