I don't understand how this can happen but it's easily the worst set of losing streaks I've had. I was rank 2 in my masters division going 15-2, then suddenly just started losing..losing.. losing to cheese.. losing to stuff i normally wouldnt lose too.. and ended up at 17-30 right now.
Going on sets of 10+ game losing streaks, after playing SO WELL the DAY before. I had my MMR up so high, I even faced QxG Darkcell and beat him in a macro pvz.
But now.. I just keep losing to stupid stuff.. roach all in / 3 rax / cannon rush / 6 pool then by the time I get an opponent who doesn't cheese me i'm so tilted that I still lose in a straight up game. I'm not even raging and bashing my keyboard etc.. i'm just sad. I was doing so well for so long before.. i was at very high MMR in masters league but now i'm facing diamond. I was beating multiple high MMR master players in long macro games, then i go to this?? What is up with me? Is my skill really this volatile?
I took a break for most of today. and I come back and I'm on a 8 game losing streak already and want to win one before I go to bed. I'm going to go insane. I really wanted to do well this season as I know I am capable of holding my own with tip top master players.. but my mentality is getting in the way i think.
I needed to rant, I'm not one to physically express my emotions. Instead of letting them decay my soul I figured I would write this.
What should I do? Take a week break? Switch races? It's so damn frustrating as I was doing so well ughh. It's like the universe is bending it's will against me.

Take a break, come back refreshed.

You don't have to be raging to be tilting. Hard.
What I would do in your situation is look at some of your replays, find out WHAT happened that made you lose to these things. I usually find that I can see why I fucked up in my games and if you make it your only goal to try and find why you lost and what you can do about it in the future - you will find you are in a much more positive mindset after a while.
Just take a break, relax and learn from your losses rather than mass gaming on tilt!!

If I lose 2 games in a row I take a break, usually at least an hour. I know that I'll tilt if I don't. I just go play some shitty FPS game and get my mind off the losses.

Quit playing when you're tilted, put a rule on yourself 'If I lose X games in a row, I quit mandatory'.
Trust me if you come back refreshed you will get much more wins. I go on those tilt streaks loads of times and the worst thing is that you will not improve at all during them because you can't stay focussed on whatever you are practicing at that time. So both from a practice and a winrate perspective its better to just chill out and play another time.

I feel you, the exact same thing happens to me. Ill play really well then come back after taking a break and because my MMR is so jacked up I start losing, then tilting. I don't want to stop playing because I have time to play and I want to get better but it still so frustrating. Normally you lose a few close games or lose to unexpected all-ins then you start playing badly.
You could practice with a friend if you have on online when you tilt, I find it helps.
Totally agree with Shirolol you don't have to rage to be tilting hard !

Depends on what you your goal with sc2 is.
If you want to be a tournament player:
Don't worry about losses - playing while tilting/tilted is one of the most important skills for tournament players. Just concentrate on your own game and take something away from every game, as improvement is much more important than winning on ladder.
If you're playing for fun:
If you have a smurf account hop on it and off-race. Play custom games (monobattles, etc.) with friends, play a different game, or just simply take a break for a day or two.

I've probably had what you've had about 4 times every season since Season 1.
All it means is: you aren't as good as you think you are. If you feel like you're not making mistakes then it's definitely because you're making mistakes; you're just too frustrated to go admit them.
My advice is to: play ladder to win. You're the boss of the game, it's not won, but it's yours to win any time you want. However remember that even a boss can make mistakes and throw the game away. But it's because that the opponent played someone as good as you that it was a worthwhile game.
EDIT: For ref yes I am high masters.
I remember getting into masters end of season 3, losing a tonne to low master cheeses season 4, demoted then spent 2 weeks actually admitting I wasn't good. After that I just pummeled my way back into high masters on crazy win streaks.

Ya.taking a break is the ONLY thing that stops a losing streak for sure.

One problem is I start losing and get pissed and cant really stop because I'll just be thinking about it and still pissed.
usually it takes a win for me to walk away, sadly it sometimes takes 10 games.
