The elk is from Norway, the phonebooth from England, the round blue eye thing from Turkey and the cock from Portugal iirc. Trying to identify them all would be a nice game I suppose
My grandparents both turned 80 this year. They're getting old and rusty, my grandma now has a walker, and they put a halt to their journeys abroad. The topic of the magnets comes up frequently during family get-togethers though. My grandpa, jokingly, complains about how one day the fridge will topple over and my grandma regularly is moved to tears when someone brings home a new magnet from their most recent trip - she says she really appreciated being thought of when we're abroad.
Another thing though that she often brings up are the missing links. There are a couple of countries that they visited before she started her collection, or where she forgot to buy a magnet, or failed to find one. These countries (and island) are missing from her collection. They are Finland, Andorra, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Malta and Sicily. She often enough reminds us to, if we ever visit these countries, bring a magnet home.
With her already being 80 and all I decided to try and ask TL to help me to complete her collection. With the help of TL's KOPF I managed to get her a Finland magnet which, needless to say, she was extremely happy with. So yeah, if you are from/live close by/will soon visit any of the remaining countries (Andorra, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Malta and Sicily), would like to help a fellow SC nerd out and don't mind dropping by your local gift shop to get a cool fridgemagnet, please drop me a PM. I'm more than happy to refund you (through paypal) or send you a pack of stroopwafels for your troubles. Alternatively, if you know anyone from a country on the list, feel free to point them this way. Thanks!
