The same reason why the kr zergs are doing 7 pools and lots of roach ling allins? Cos they dont want to play vs 3 base toss or some variant of a 2base allin from toss. They would rather try for some early attack and slow down the game.

Actually like JulyZerg's ZvP style...he just HAS to make spores vs phoenix. And if he makes hydras he has to push earlier...early air protoss have very little that can defend a very fast hydra push.
