The tournanment is awesome but the bracket is horrribly confusing :/ Anyone that cares to explain who from which bracket moves to the final 32?

I can't believe they're using outdated versions of imbalanced maps

Top 16 of the open bracket, so I'm guessing both players from Round 7 of each Losers Bracket and the top 2 players from each Winners Bracket.

Found what I was looking for! *edit*

All of the people from the pools advance, it's only used to determine seeding and for the small prize for getting 1st/2nd.
The top 16 from the open bracket advance, which corresponds to the winner of their winners bracket plus anyone who gets to at least round 7 in their losers bracket (which obviously includes the loser of the winners bracket final).

Actually, next to MLG, IPL is extremely simple.
All 8 invites and all 8 online qualifiers advance from the group stages to the championship bracket.
And the top 16 players from the open bracket also advance into the championship bracket.
So from looking at where they stopped at the end of day 1, the top 16 have yet to be decided, but they will be decided by the end of day 2. It only looks confusing because there are so many people in the open tournament and it's double elimination.
As far as I can tell, the only players from the open bracket who are guaranteed placement into the championship bracket are the 8 undefeated players left in the winner's bracket:
1. PuMa 2. Socke 3. DeMuslim 4. Sheth 5. Artist 6. KawaiiRice 7. viOlet 8. Lucky

Even though they still have to play each other, the farthest they can fall will be "Round 2" of the Loser's Bracket, which will still be Top 10.
Hope that helps. <3
edit: Ignore that last line. They still have a chance to drop from the Top 16. I guess it is confusing. I was confusing it with losing their match once there were only 4 undefeateds left. No one is guaranteed to be in the championship bracket until tomorrow's games, but those 8 obviously are in great shape to advance.
So once day 2 starts, the first matches between the undefeateds are going to be extremely important, because placement into the championship bracket is going to be determined right away.

I'm pretty sure that if the loser of the winners bracket loses their next match in the losers bracket, they're still third in their part, which would make them 9-12 overall...

Eh, you might be right.
It's late. =/
I'll look at it again tomorrow.

Skip to 55mins, continues into part 6.
There's some audio sync issues but if you want to just listen more than watch it gets the job done.

Judging by the brackets, the other 8 should likely be :
1. Minigun 2. Slush 3. CatZ (no Gordon Hayward upset I fear) 4. Spanishiwa, although I can imagine State beating him 5. Inori (bad luck for Trimaster, pulling the one Korean who got out-Koreaned on day 1) 6. Kiwikaki 7. Machine (unless Hashe upsets) 8. Incontrol or Haypro

I agree except I think Spades has a shot against Minigun and the winner of Luckyfool/KiFirE will beat Hashe.
I'm really interested to see the Incontrol/Haypro match if it happens. Two players who have been underperforming as of late who could right the ship by qualifying for the Championship bracket.
