Whats up, as me and my friend continue on our Anime Marathon(On #13 currently of Trigun =D) I got to thinking, I own a lot of Anime, and if I list mine out maybe you'll see something you like or be remembered of something and vice versa, so list out your anime collection TL =D:
Dragon Ball Z(Till the End of Frieza Saga/First Broly Movie/Super Android 13/) Gundam Wing(TV Series+Endless Waltz) Chars Counterattack Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory Gundam 08th MS team Gundam 0079 War in a Pocket G Gundam Cowboy Bebop(Series+Movie) Samurai 7 Samurai Champloo Trigun Rurouni Kenshin(Series+OVAS) First discs of Robotech Macross Series Yu Yu Hakusho(Full Series) Afro Samurai Outlaw Star Escaflowne Akira Vampire Hunter D Neon Genesis Evangelion Princess Monoke X Macross Plus
All Anime on Netflix+Hulu(Lots that I don't watch lolololol)
But personally I have a lot of these except a few on discs, what anime(both torrented/dvds) what anime do you guys have?
|
with the new clone wars show out and around I would consider that the older much better clone wars series would be animeish.
and yes I bought that its worth every penny.
|
You have some good taste. Char's Counterattack is one of my favourite movies, not just anime movies, of all time.
|
Not sure if I still have the disks anywhere, but I remember in college that I watched: Elfen Lied, Mushishi, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gankutsuou, Death Note, Trigun, Escaflowne, and Berserk. I think my favorite was probably Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni though. (Edit: had to google around for the name of that one)

Ghost in the Shell and Darker Than Black <3
|
I currently have (just going in order from what's on my shelves):
Series Dragon Ball Kai (Up to Frieza) - BD Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls - BD High School of the Dead - BD K-On! (up to volume 2) - BD Lucky Star - BD Neon Genesis Evangelion - DVD Gurren Lagann - DVD Corpse Princess - DVD Witchblade - DVD Sekirei - DVD Burst Angel - DVD
Movies Akira - BD Paprika - BD Evangelion 1.11 - BD Evangelion 2.22 - BD Ghost in the Shell 2.0 - BD Nausicaa - BD Laputa - BD The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - BD Grave of the Fireflies - DVD Ponyo - DVD
Stuff I own is mostly newer because when I was a poor student I sadly couldn't afford anything lol. I love Blu-Rays for anime too, it looks so sexy on a good screen.
I really like buying anime though, especially straight from Japan (if I can manage it) because of all the cool extras you get. I also like that on some of the new BD sets they have started to include English subs.
Most of my stuff is from the Australian distributor Madman though which is sadly a bit slow - we are only just getting K-On! Still I appreciate what they do for what wouldn't be the biggest market. The prices are often very good too. I got the entire BD set of High School of the Dead for $60.

My list is too long...
I don't like to delete, but I have to. I only have a 1TB to store my anime in. Need to get another hard drive soon...

r2s or bootlegs. this is critical.

i loved gundam wing as a kid, would you recommend any of the many renditions to be watched? The only one i've seen was the one with Hiro Yuei and the three others and the shift of power from the alliance to Oz to Rommefeller, and then that old lady/man Kanz or whatever. I really enjoyed the political aspect to it.

I am guilty of watching really far into the series and then reading the end in graphic novels. Helped with my french.
Also guilty of playing the SNES RPG. ):

At the risk of forcing you to do an endless marathon, Gintama.
Nichijou and Clannad are good too yo.
I don't wanna list my anime list b/c too lazy. Baka to Test + Valkyria Chronicles aren't bad either. Spice and Wolf is a classic.

Haha this thread brought back some memories! Made me nostalgic enough to check through my collection to see what I still owned, as I haven't been buying or really even watching anime for a long time. Here's what I got in no particular order:
Bubblegum Crisis (original) Love Hina IkkiTousen Samurai Deeper Kyo Witch Hunter Robin Get Backers Cowboy Bebop (series + movie) X (series + movie) Gantz (1st 5 DVDs) Hellsing (original) Gungave Deadleaves Bastard!! Spriggan Kite Mezzo Forte Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust Princess Mononoke Samurai X Armitage III Akira Ninja Scroll
Most of it is older-school stuff and a lot of movies. ^^

Many of the Gundam Series(Until Seed and anything produced after that considering they suck complete and total balls imo) are like this they explore a psychological and political combination.
Is samurai deeper kyo really that good in an anime form? ive got the first 10 in manga.
