And that if he hadn't gone hatch first in game 2 he wouldn't have automatically lost? And? He didn't hold it off though, and there was a reason that Galaxy hit that specific timing because it's powerful if you don't respond properly. Destiny didn't. And he did go hatch first so what's your point? Yes he had the potential to win if he did different things, that is how it is for any game anyone loses. He lost fair and square, there is no point belittling the other player.
I think it's more that Galaxy abused the latency from America to Korea, whereas here, Destiny doesn't do that. Destiny was more than prepared for game 3, it's just, you can't micro to perfection with a 1.5 sec lag (he got banelings for speedlings, I don't imagine it's easy to stop without good micro). Galaxy would've won vs. anyone that was attempting to go a macro game as a foreigner; I think Destiny relies on the other player going into a macro game on Korea simply because of the latency, so since his late game is so good, the problems of latency don't hurt as much.
Not really a good series to watch though, did you like watching it or something and this is why you're defending it? It's a showmatch, not a tournament, we really want to see fun games (since it was designed for our entertainment), not a total of 15 minutes wasted because one guy decides to rush every game.

Koreans, don't respect foreigners sense of timings. Until the foreigner proves he can hold early timings; they will continue to abuse that fact and take the wins. Galaxy said that Destiny made the right calls and should of held in Game 3; and Destiny said he was lagging at that point which made it extremely hard to micro ling/bling. It is a shame that Destiny does have to play with lag from time to time, but that is all apart of the game.
However, I think he does deserve respect for playing events on their server. I don't know of any foreigner that does this, it's always the Koreans forced to play with lag on NA.
Lastly, all the players I get are from amateur houses that live for Starcraft. I belive qualifying for Code-A in Korea is equally if not harder than winning an MLG. Just because they aren't in Code-A/Code-S, does not mean they aren't insanely good.

While I don't necessarily agree with your wording, you are right. MC said this at IEM. Foreigners are too worried about playing safe, while the Korean players are taking risks and playing very aggressively. And being at a higher skill level, that aggression pays off tenfold.

Pretty much this. I said this earlier in the thread (that Galaxy would most likely put on very early pressure and wouldn't play Destiny in the macro game). Galaxy won, and congratulations to him. But most of the fans don't want to see early 1-2 base timings, especially 3 games in a row. If this were a tournament, sure, but it's a showmatch. Meaning the players are putting on a show for the audience, and the games played certainly did not represent that.

I strongly disagree with players trying to put on a show for the audience. The integrity of the game should not be compromised for the viewers. In game 3 for instance Galaxy was not planning on winning then and there, however Destiny mistakenly went Gas/Hatch/Pool which opened him up to a small timing. Additionally, he got hit by lag and that put the final nail in the coffin as it was already going to be difficult to defend the attack.
If you think of the game from a mental level, it is pretty insane in Game 1 you will see both players scouting constantly; there are always lings out and about. Galaxy, didn't blindly go for a 2 base attack; it was a response to what Destiny was doing.
Seeing a player lose like Destiny multiple times, is a good thing. It means he is trying to optimize his build and hit micro timings for defense. He isn't losing because he is overly aggressive, he is losing because he is seeing things 10-15 seconds too late. I'm not saying Destiny is a god, but you can't just say "oh he doesn't win, therefore he is bad". Look at Grubby, I think he finally figured something out and will have some impressive wins in the near future. Many people say he is bad just because he hasn't won many series; however if you actually watched the series they have been 1-2's with the ace match being very close.
Event Info Update Next match will be Thursday, Sep 01 1:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) against Mentalist.

Due to Destiny's schedule freeing up -- The Show Match against Mentalist will be moved to Monday Night and on Wednesday he will play `SlayerS`Golden.

Agree, Galaxy should've let Destiny pop out 6 infestors with 2-2 upgrade before pushing. These Koreans are always doing early push and I'm getting tired of it; so boring to watch.

I'm not sure if you are sarcastic or not :D If Destiny's style can be punished early on by "rushing", then I feel it's his opponent's task to show that. Being greedy and relying on not being attacked early is not a solid style and therefore only Destiny is to blame if a simple rush can outright kill him each time.

Most of the people who talk about imbalance do not process the needed experience nor do they have access to the amount of raw information that is needed for the intricate analysis that require objective and critical reasoning skills. Your prediction was probably nothing more than a loose shot in the fog that just happened to hit its target and you were hardly alone in that endeavor. The patch isn't even final, mind you, so why even act like it? What more is that Blizzard is not infallible in their decisions.
I can predict that the sun will shine tomorrow and the sky will be clear and blue without basing it on solid information and expertise, ect. If it just happens to turn out to be true then am I then a genius? No, hardly so. I'd say your comment makes you look stupid than anything else.
Now even if these patch notes are indeed the final ones then we still don't know what Blizzard based their decision on. Maybe they caved under the pressure of all the whining? Maybe they have undergone intense, critical analysis and come to this conclusion? Maybe it's just the first step in a attempt to change the gameplay? Like making mutas more viable in ZvZ. I personally fear that they might be too hasty in their decision for a new balance patch, but we'll see how it turns out.

nice to see you post here man! you're an awesome player, you should enter more tournaments so that we can see you owning face. didn't find too many decent vods with you
also congrats on finding destiny's weak spot and annihilating him, destiny turtling up to a truckload of infestors and beating far superior players seems somewhat wrong to me

xD well since this protoss likes to go to lategame maybe we'll actually get to see destiny do his turtle 2base broodlord infestor deathball build =)

Someone just have to tell the Koreans that Destiny is a submarine infestor man and he won't be able to win a single game.
