Event Information:
Ipp will be hosting a recurring event known as Destiny vs Korea, name is subject to change. This is a $50 Best of 5 Show Match series with no set schedule, due to the 13 hour difference between EDT and KST. This event will be ran much like Spazcraft's with the exception of it being once a week and a Bo5, until I can find a sponsor.
Where can I watch the event?
RageQuitTV will be the only stream with casting (players can stream), it is up to the players if they wish to stream themselves playing. If neither player chooses to stream, I will put a 5 minute delay on the stream.
Who is Destiny?
Destiny has been in the top 200 of NA Ladder since the launch of Starcraft II and is one of the few players who can support themselves via Starcraft alone. He was apart of ROOT-Gaming but left shortly after the merger with Complexity Gaming and is currently teamless. Additionally, Destiny just won the Starcraft Miami Star League taking out his former clan leader Catz in the finals 3:2.
Why Destiny?
Over a year span, I strongly believe Destiny has improved his game more than any other professional player out there. That is partly due to him starting out as a casual gamer, his dedication that allowed him to make the jump from casual to pro is unmatched; I can't tell you how many times I have heard someone say "I'm going pro and stopping after they realize 30 games a day is too much." Additionally, Destiny is capable and willing to play on KR and is capable of getting the viewer count needed for an event like this to find a sponsor.
Any plans on adding more casters?
Due to the event mainly being on both NA/Kor, I don't plan on adding any more official casters. If you want to cocast an event please message me with a link to your VODs and Battle.Net Profile.
FAQ
- What is the map pool? The starting map will be what I decide. Most likely it will be MLG Metalopolis with loser picks between any map in the current GSL/MLG Map Pool.
- What if a player does not show? Each player has 15 minutes after the start of the event to sign on Battle.Net or contact me. If neither is done then I will do my best to find a replacement, if no replacement is found the person who was there gets the $50.
- What is the prize pool? As of right now each Bo5 is $50
- How can I contact you? If it is urgent or private please email me, if I don't respond within 24 hours feel free to email me again. Otherwise just post here.

Why Mentalist?
After many people have been complaining about the games being too short, I decided to get a Protoss player on. Mentalist, isn't just a Protoss player he is a Protoss player who aims for the late game which makes him fairly unique. Galaxy
Youngjun Yoo, aka Galaxy is a Korean Zerg whom recently made the hop to a foreign owned team going from MVP to Gosu Gamers. Galaxy, is one of the many high level Koreans that are not in Code-A or S, however he plans on playing in a lot of foreign tournaments in the future so you will be seeing more of him. Last but not least he is very confident in his mechanics as he states ZvZ is his favorite match up. Why would he make such a statement? Well he has been having a lot of success with a “secret” build. Is he another infestor user? Does he have a counter to infestors? Or is this just a statement to through his opponents off? Tune in to find out.
Why I picked Galaxy?
As many of you probably know, Destiny can take a game off of anyone but has trouble in the early rounds of tournaments. I believe this is because Destiny streams almost all of his games, therefore players can easily find out what builds he has trouble defending.
I feel that ZvZ depends the most on meta game; in TvZ and PvZ you are free to switch between macro and defense mode throughout the game. While in ZvZ if you build 1 round of drones and your opponent doesn’t it can be lights out. Oh and this is the match up where the four infestor hit squad came to be. - NEXSkit VODS

Sorry for the late start. Destiny opened fast pool but a bunker rush by Rain lets take control. Bunkers control the ramp at Destiny's main. Rain has his natural up and a lot of marines. Contain is strong.

Spinecrawler can not reach the bunker. Lings are forced to assault it directly. Rain moves out with a lot of marines+hellions and force larva used for units instread of drones. Scan on highground lets marines snipe a Queen. Terran force marches up the ramp and takes spinecrawler to half hp. Destiny barely holds.

Infestation Pit done. Medivacs out. Marine drop in main. Drones pulled.
