I pretty much agree with this. The show seems more bland now. Everyone just quietly and politely answering questions. With Lea and Artosis on there now there just seems to be some kind of disconnect that was not there with the old show. Not to hate on Leah, but she seems to have basically no input on any of the discussions. Artosis is one of my favorite nerds, but he dose not bring the same energy that Geoff had.
I love how people say Leah contributes ~0 to SOTG. Listen to the last few shows, whenever there are facts being brought up about major tournaments, Leah is right there with the information. She may not be a pro-gamer, or have strong community connections with the SC2 scene, but she is an avid fan of the game and it shows.
In terms of the show's premise (get a bunch of SC2 folks together and talk about the game), yes, she's the weakest member. However, she adds a professional perspective to the mix, a female voice/personality, and is extremely knowledgeable about the pro-scene.

I am very happy the way it is now. Geoff and EG ruined their chances. And I like a more mature discussion. They do need to bring guests on every show, so a special person gets the spotlight. Hopefully these guys will be people who are not on shows regular (PainUser, IdrA, iNcontroL, djWHEAT, etc.) We can hear their opinion on other shows already. Lets get some fresh people in here!

I thought the opposite, I expected her to be bland and boring as fuck but instead she butted in with questions and answers quite a lot, she might not be a progamer but by no means was she a PsyStarcraft.
That said I do agree that the show is more stale, hoping it will change at some point. There were a few meh shows before mixed in with the unforgettable ones.

She's got a lot of factual knowledge (this guy beat that guy in that tournament), but from what I've seen so far she just doesn't seem to bring anything more. I am prepared to be pleasantly surprised, though.

I think part of what made the old line up work so well was that they all knew each other really well, especially after so many SotGs. Maybe it'll take a few episodes for the new people to gel with everyone. That's my hope anyway.

Agree with this 100%. Tired of the same old shit. And they already have platforms.
It's just like people wanting the reaver and lurker in sc2. Being creative is harder than defaulting on what we know and are familiar with.

So much to talk about tonight. It will be interesting to see if jp just ignores the eg drama from a week and a half ago, or if he mentions it.

itmeJP JP McDaniel An old friend returns tonight on @StateOfTheGame -- for good. Tune in 8:30 PST / 11:30 EST at itmejp.com to find out who it is
Geoff? :D

Kinda disappointed with incontrol coming back. He can bring some more energy to the show, but I don't miss him controlling the discussion and his ridiculous arguments.

fuck. If its Geoff. I'm gonna be prettydisapppointed. I have nothing against the guy, but some of his actions just do not make me think he is a personality that I can like.
Please keep Artosis. plz.

Im pretty sure theres no reason artosis would be leaving I think itll be like before+ artosis.
Day9, tyler, jp,geoff, artosis. sometimes + guest.

Incontrol too obvious. Is there anyone else it could possibly be? Idra?

I really dont think it was bad without Geoff at all, it was merely a different type of SOTG. Either way I thought they were both good.
The show is just well ran and its always a fun/interesting 2-3 hours. not once have I thought (Okay Im bored next thing)

Geoff? :D I don't know if I like it. InControl on the show gives a better show. But without Incontrol it is still a good show... I would have given the other pillars some more time, learning to talk more about a single subject, using 3 sentences to explain something instead of 2.
Nha I would like InControl back, actually, I would like IdrA back.
IdrA > Incontrol

Well, if they want to discuss about EG-Puma, they need someone from EG or it would be just a onesided nonsense (although the drama around it already is). But I actually hope they talk about other stuff

I hope to see Incontrol come back, he really adds to the dynamic of the show.
He's just a very outspoken person which does sometimes mean that he says stupid or contradictory shit but for the most part he's fun and insightful.
