Map: Nerazim Crypt
My Opening: 9 Overlord 14 Hatch
Enemy Opening: 12 Barracks 13 Refinery 15 OC 15 Tech Lab into Reaper
I accidentally let my gas steal finish, and he didn't attack it with marines - which means he's gonna do an early attack. I get a few lings out as soon as my pool finishes, scare off his semi-early bunker, and his reaper does minimal damage that my queens can easily fend off. He leaves a supply depot burrowed and I can run in with lings and kill a brand new mule, and his harassment continues to fail. From that point on I just built a quick force of mutalisks and won with heavy harass, he was so far behind he couldn't defend it at all.
What I could have done better: Creep spread was pretty crappy, and I got supply blocked at some really bad times. Overall better macro. I'm also not sure my harass defense was really enough to deal with dedicated reaper harass if he had decided to do that.

I burst out laughing at this. It's quite a name for the opponent in a blog post.

You should include all your games in a single blog instead of separate threads for each one, probably something you should know after 800 posts.

I've never blogged before... I'm just using the 'new blog entry' button. Is that not right?
I'm just basically trying to create a log of all my matches so I can learn from them, I don't want to be intrusive.
|
It's just that if you made a new topic for every single ladder game you play, in two days you would have made like 10+ topics, clogging up the blogs forum.
It's better to make one topic and add in a new post every time you play a game. Or maybe better, edit it into the first post and put each match in separate spoilers to keep everything organized and tidy. Then make a post in the topic saying you updated or something.
|
Ah I see what he's saying, that's understandable. The blog feature in your profile lets you create and cycle through your 'blog entries'. I've never messed with it before, but it looks like if you try creating a 'new blog entry' from your profile it just creates a thread on this forum, so your profile will essentially show your threads from the blog section. Maybe someone else knows more than I do, I'm not sure if there's a way to blog on TL without the thread creation component.

Well I don't want to be annoying, but I do really like having a list of all my matches easy to see. If i kept adding them to existing threads, it would be really hard to get a quick list of my matches.
Is there a way to have a new blog entry without creating a thread? Like a 'hidden' entry that's only visible on my blog page?
I don't know blog ettiquite =S

How about making a personal, non-TL blog with blogspot or some other site? Or your own wiki page? Any of those would let you have a list of all your matches and let other people see them. It would basically be the same as TL blogs except you don't clog up the blogs section for people who aren't interested. Once you have the site up you could post the link in a TL blog and everyone who is interested can check it out.
Hell, if you want a list of all your matches you could just as easily type the records into an offline Word document on your desktop.

Yeah, but I also really appreciate the criticism and information other TL'ers could give to my matches. I don't want to train in a vacuum.
What if I had one entry for each day, and the OP would just contain the same summary for of all my matches on that day? Think that'd be a good compromise?

tbh your best bet is to pm a mod and ask.
Yeah I don't really know what the best solution would be for you. On the one hand you want to get a lot of attention to your posts so people comment. But then you don't want to spam either.

Don't mean to offend but I dont really see the point of posting a blog about one game which doesnt even sound like it was very exciting. If you wanna get better then dont post a blog about your game, instead just play another

My reason for the blog is here:
http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=250182
From the convo above, I'm just trying to put multiple entries in one blog, I don't mean to start a new thread every game. I'm working on a solution.
