There's also the issue of reading something and assuming you understand the basis of it to formulate something coherent. This also happens when you see the same shit 50 times in a week.

It happens in many other situations, and its a very natural human thing to do. People often infer further meaning from other people's sentences, understanding implications and reasonings/biases behind certain statements. Its essential for human communication, its the huge emotional/psychological aspects that underlie a lot of our thoughts. Its just sometimes people use it in the wrong circumstances, like when making precise logical arguments. If you want to avoid this, I think you should be extra clear and just say "I personally do not have a problem being a virgin, and the focus of this thread isn't about me personally being uncomfortable with other people's labels. But I would like to understand how sex in general should be valued in society" If you instead start off with "I'm a virgin, and to most idiots out there that means I'm a loser". Can you see how this could be seen as a somewhat vindictive, emotionally damaged response? If you want to have a more clear-headed debate on the value of sex in society, it would be better to word it differently. Anyways its getting kind of late for me, maybe I didn't type everything perfectly but I hope you get my message. I agree though, in general a lot of people make assumptions and don't read threads completely. But for your one thread on sex in particular I believe there are some important reasons behind why things turned out the way they did that you should acknowledge for the future
