RIP the days of good western tournaments with exciting results. Now its just all Koreans win and a Korean winner, no more excitement like the epic Naniwa win of MLG Dallas.

Just like last MLG, every Korean who shows up is in the top, if more and more Koreans keep coming pretty soon they can just rename MLG to GSL America and call it good. Not looking like western players can really compete at all. RIP the days of good western tournaments with exciting results. A) Encouraging foreigners to train harder and prepare better so they can win tournaments or B) Cause foreigners to lose hope and demotivate them as the odds are just so stacked against them Hopefully the remainder of FXO and the newcomers (Naniwa, Thorzain, Sase and Fenix) can train hard enough to produce results and give us more foreigners in the top 6.

Basically, I like western esports and players, I like cheering for guys I can relate to, guys like me. When the Koreans come over and take everything I just don't care. Thus, as a viewer I enjoy a tournament with western players who I know and follow versus one with Koreans I don't care about. I also feel like MLG was a big western tourney where guys could get some money and fund their pro career. Now that it is just a freebie for Koreans I feel like the western scene is going to suffer. Without money people can't train harder, they can't get better, instead they have to get a job at starbucks to pay the rent. I predicted this at that last MLG and will say it again, we are witnessing the start of the end of western SC2 esports. Sure there will be still be some players, but think back to Dallas when the field was so open and growing, now think about the current state. New players won't even bother, and lots of people are thinking of quitting.

GET OFF MY LAWN, YOU DAMN KIDS. Given it's no longer exciting results, those MLG viewership numbers must have been dropping since Koreans have come over.
