EPTWell the first time i ever played SCBW was against my mom's boyfriend. We played a tvp on a fastest like map he maed, i got crushed. Then i played a lot of UMS on B.Net.
Then i was looking up fallout 3 videos years later and found SC2ggRise who had made some cool fallout videos. So i subbed him too realise that he was a SC caster i watched a few games and was so confused. Then one day i see a starcraft beta video and become obsessed with it.
And when gamestop starts giveing them away with preorders so i get one and start playing and am terrible, i get placed in copper. I was playing protoss at the time and learned the voidray rush, and I did only that for about 200 games and got up to gold. Then people started stopping it so I start learning how to play a macro game. And i end up playing like 700 games total in beta. So i got so burned out on the game.
Finally the full game came out and i played a few games and hated it, So I played though the campaign and played a ladder game like once every week or two. After a while i start playing again and can't win, I mean in beta i was terrible but could hold my own against platnum players when i played them. So i 4 gated every game every matchup. And one morning i was watching a day 9 daily on drops i think and day said somthing about how zerg was played and i thought thats how i try to play with protoss and its not working so im going to switch to zerg. And at the time I would get like 4k mins by the 7 min mark as zerg.
So i start playing more and more and get to like 3k gold before season 2, and am getting ok now, i was beating platnums in like every game. Then got platnum and was so happy that finally after playing a bunch now and back in beta i got better. Then i got to diamond about 150 after that and was so happy even though being in diamond means like nothing.
And now season 3 is here and with it 1 year down, im loveing SC2 more than ever and can't wait to see what happens and comes next for me and the game.
