Page 26 and onwards I will issue at least two day bans to anyone who clearly has not read the original topic post and the explanations contained therein. He was barred access to the event days before the actual event took place and used some random diamond player his account to try and get in anyway.
Leave the racial bias at the door while you are at it as well pretty please. |

I thought TL would be the place of mannered and nice ppl. But it seems taht most ppl are only able to yell at each other in an unfriendly tone.

This is the CatZ argument adapted for this tournament.
You have to build infrastructure to be able to compete with the World first.
There is no real incentive for SEA players to play professionally atm. If the rest of the world was invited how would that help grow the scene here?
In NA or EU there are already set competitions going on all the time and the scene is big enough to be able to sustain its players.
Here in the SEA there nothing like that as of yet.
Tournaments like this, do nothing but help the growth.

This is the CatZ argument adapted for this tournament. It's exactly the same argument that Team Liquid used for the TSL 1/2.
Other servers already have a lot of tournaments and money invested. SEA does not, and it is prohibitively difficult to play in tournaments for other servers due to timezones/connection issues. Hence, most SEA tournaments are held for SEA players to ensure that they actually get to play tournaments, get exposure, and a chance to win money.
When there is enough competitive infrastructure and players in place, then it makes sense to open SEA up entirely. Even then, events like the Master's Cup do allow non-SEA players. The last one was won by a korean B-teamer.

Well, it's Dox's mindset, but i'm guessing he wants to have an exclusive SEA tournament so at least a person from SEA gets the prize money, gets some incentive to play SC2 more competitively, get into a team, train harder, then go into international tournaments. It doesn't work when you have an accomplished player just come in, roll everyone and take the money. If that eventuated, then up and coming SEA players would get discouraged, and not play as much or even play altogether.

Sharing accounts is illegal and progamers have been warned for it.

In the cases where they do care(Huk on TLOs account) they will tell you to stop it and warn you, apparently.
Major wont really have any repercussions from this other then not being able to play in this tournament.

Think blizzard only have a problem if he smurfs on the ladder for someone else. If it is someone's first time then they get a warning, if they keep doing it they get a suspension for a week or so, if they do it again then a month long suspension, if they do it AGAIN then probably a permanent ban. But it would be a real big offense for blizzard to ban someone.
