Edit: Also if players who would be invited to the invitational placed in the top 8 of Code S, would the invites be scaled down to lower placing players?

Could one of you PM me the answer? Edit: Also if players who would be invited to the invitational placed in the top 8 of Code S, would the invites be scaled down to lower placing players? If you register for CODE A and get promoted to CODE S you will be put into CODE S Tournament. If players who placed top 8 cannot make it to the invitational we will be going down the result list. 9th place would be asked to come play. If we run out of CODE S players the winners of CODE A will be asked to come play.

no way i (or anyone not in Vancouver) can justify a trip to Vancouver to play for (basically) no cash prizes... l2sc had much bigger event imo even with your "10 000$" worth of gear sure a 2200 gaming rig would be great but this is overly geared towards the recreational players how can this help develop the competitive scene when the majority of Canadian players (aside from the top 5) are still not able to make money attending events in Canada Calgary had an event advertising a large sum of money ( most of it swag) but at least they had a 1250 cash prize for top three. This is a trend I'm seeing in Canadian gaming and i hope we move past it fast. I'm sick of the over advertised events that aren't really helping the competitive scene. its a step in the right direction ofc! But tons of events give away swag but its the events that push the cash prizes to legitimate sizes that will become successful all the best for this event and good job landing some big names. Ill be looking forward to future events with actual cash prize pools edmonton gaming ftw

I think that proves that running events with big Cash Prize Pools are a lot easier said then done. IMO.
