Sunuvbob already has my stream added to the list: http://www.teamliquid.net/video/userstream.php?user=VorcePA
Anyway, not only do I have a stream for everyone, but also a guide. This is an alternative to RaGe's guide. You will get a much better quality stream if you use this method because there's fewer steps and fewer pieces of software involved. To top it off, the software you use is free. RaGe's guide has you using a couple of pieces of software that you must
1. Setting up Chaoslauncher
Chaoslauncher has built in W-Mode, and a number of other features I'm sure you're familiar with. It can also have the ICCup anti-hack and LAN latency put on it, so you get the best of both worlds. The first thing you need to do is go in to your iccup folder and find the file "iccscbn.icc" and copy it to your Chaoslauncher folder. This trick I got from liquipedia <3
Next, open up chaoslauncher. If you followed the first simple step of copy-pasting the iccscbn file, "ICCup" should appear under your plug-ins tab, although when you select it it says forbidden. Next to the start button there's a drop-down menu for which version you want to use. Select "ICCup for 1.16.1". You'll notice that a lot of the plug-ins get turned off because they're technically hacks. However, your anti-hack will be turned on when you log in to iccup and your lan latency will be in effect, too, which is the important part. Also, you will need to turn on W-MODE, as stated above.
In the end, it should look like this:

2. LiveStream
Make an account on http://www.livestream.com/ and download the LiveStream Procaster. This let's record in first person mode video games and other full screen software, as well as your desktop. Unfortunately, it is not yet compatible with Brood War, hence running it in W-mode. If you try to run brood war in full screen and set the camera to stream your desktop, the best you'll get is BW that's really dark and messed up colors. It's unwatchable.
Once you have procaster installed, run it. Go to preferences and then the video tab. Set target frame rate to 30, target bit-rate to 404 kbps. Next, go to the audio tab. Starting from the top, the source drop down menu should be set to "Speakers' Audio". Your viewers will be able to hear whatever you hear that comes from your computer, including starcraft and whatever else you may have open at the time. Next, target bit rate: 96 kbps. It's not great, but I've already received many compliments about how good my stream looks and how it sounds. I have my sampling rate set to 44,100. Not sure what it does but BIGGER IS BETTER DAMMIT. Lastly, the Desktop tab. I wouldn't set highlight mouse to anything above 24 pixels, if you have it on at all, otherwise it will be a distraction. If you're a Vista user, uncheck "Always switch to Vista Basic". That's it. Press save.
Leave Procaster open. You're not far from being ready to stream.
3. Brood War
Run brood war from Chaoslauncher. It's going to be tiny, but don't dismay. Notice the shiny new bar at the top:

The buttons on the right hand side are as follows, from left to right:
- Mouse sticks to BW
- Double screen size of BW. Makes everything twice the size, which is what I have it set to on this huge monitor. When on b.net it will revert back to normal size, but once you're in a game lobby it will go back to 2x mode.
- Sticky. Makes you unable to accidentally move the screen around when in W-Mode. I have it always on because I want BW to be in the center of my screen always.
- Always on top. Brood war will be in front of all windows even if you alt-tab out. Have this turned on before your game starts!
- Minimize. Yep.
- Exit. Yep yep.
When you're ready to start a game, i suggest having all 4 of the first features on (Mouse stick, 2x mode, Sticky, and always on top).
4. Streaming
You've done just about everything to start streaming! Go back to procaster and hit the go live button. When in desktop mode, the area it's streaming will, by default, be set to your desktop's resolution (In my case, 1600x1200). The zoom in/zoom out buttons on the bottom right will always be on top when you're in live mode, so get BW up on the screen and zoom in/out until the focus is only on BW.
And that's it! You're officially streaming to anybody who may be watching. From that point on, everyone will just see what you're doing in BW, unless you turn off always-on-top and alt-tab out of brood war.
