I think a good strat is to guard it until / if town is in a losing spot then press it if it gets to that point.

I'm gonna be shooting someone as soon as 24h flips because someone is going to do it either way no matter how much we argue about it and I trust me more

I expect you both to suggest targets to shoot aproaching 24h. That way I (and the rest of town) can have an idea about your alignment and possibly follow up on one of you guys' suggestion. Also commenting as much as you can on stuff happening on the thread will also make it easy to id alignment, so if you are the town spirit post some to force the other dude to post aswel.

I havn't got much from the thread so far but I think it is fairly scummy that rayn has been apart of two shit fights with geript and toad that didn't really seem to go anywhere.

It's pretty nice in theory, but all we need is one person to randomly decide they want to shoot to screw with town pretty hard in case of a miss. The person is probably going to be mislynched the next day, because they will probably be town and there is no way to commit to this plan without setting up a pusnishment the next day. So this will sum up to the equivalent of 2 mislynches if things go south. That's why I think the best plan is for me to try to shoot correctly in 24h. All the glory or all the shame, I'll take my chances =P.

Also please can you guys please stick to the game in question? Half the posts in this thread are pretty hard for me to decifer what the hell people are even talking about, tons of people randomly aggroing each other for no good reason, tons of pointless spam. Let's keep it straight foward please.

well if somehow everyone gets behind it I see no problem turning this into a normal lynch. This will require extreme self-control by a town player who is about to get shot, however, because if you manage to shoot before someone shoots you, you will waste 2 of town lynches instead of one.

Bresche early filter focuses on the "plan" for town to control the shot after 24hrs.
This is not typically alignment indicative early on, however, it is interesting to note that Bresche has a focus on establishing "town" reads; and not questioning his "scum" reads. Even more so, given that Rayn has been quite active in the thread.

Further, note the confidence Bresche exudes when referring to Tubesock (and to a lesser degree Slam + Koshi + FecalFeast) as town. Everyone knows list collaborations are an easy tool for scum to utilising when feigning contribution. But Bresche begs to differ, offering the generic morsel that this effort is too much to be scum.

Which leads us to
Congruence
I get no focus in his filter. There is talk but none of it has proper conclusions that are reinforced within *THIS* game. His filter has no consistency in thought. Posts within a short duration jump from target to target; which when combined with the tendency to buddy people as town indicate a motive to blend in and offer meaningless contributions.

That doesn't prove anything though, especially since at this point he's done nothing useful except to try and debunk our most useful way of gaining information, which is to try and shoot the guy with the most votes.

4) He's been the one to try and turn the thread into a fight by abusing me (a fight he calculated he'll win because no one here knows me).

1) He suggested we nominate someone to shoot so i don't think that he is trying to avoid us lynching a consensus

2) He then later stated that he ment he doesn't care if we shoot mafia or 3p

3)Isn't trying to debunk any plan useful as it can show any weakpoints it has? Yes it could be frustrating but yeah.

4) I dont think this is true. Yeah vets seem to listen to other vets more than newbies but with geript gunning for some of them (rayn for example) how do you think he can count on them to back him?

Couple points
Bresche goes into a lot of detail to debunk Epiphany points on Geript, however, at no point takes a stance on Geript OR EPIPHANY
This is critical.
Bresche last 2 paragraphs reads as "Im about to wreck yo", and ends miserley with ... "please post more"

Think about this.. town *WANT* to pursue their scumspects. What we get here is Bresche saying this:
(1) I want you to hang yourself; or,
(2) I want someone else to take the lead with hanging you; or,
(3) I am giving myself flexibilty to pursue or withdraw.

I havent played mafia in about a year, but to me, this has always been indicative of a mafia mentality.

I'm still far ways off of catching up, but I found this post pretty good and have something to add to this. Breshe is indeed wishywashy again in his interaction with rayn.
Rayn is pushing the idea that I'm scum for wanting to guard the button (not sure about rayn yet, but I believe he is just a misguided town, I'm not about to argue why I think guarding the button is best, because that's not the point). Breshe comes in to say he believes it is not scummy and immediately gets bullied by rayn. Breshe ends up agreeing with rayn that my behavior is scummy, even though he himself thought it wasn't scummy to do what I proposed. Wouldn't him as a towny think that I might have been thinking the same thing as him and didn't consider what rayn said like he didn't?
Instead he takes the route of avoiding conflict and quickly fades away into the background. I think this only makes sense in a mafia mindset and would be my vote to shoot so far.

@geript I'm reading through his student v filter and his tone is definetely different there from here. I might be suffering from confirmation bias but it's certainly something to look more into. Can you point me to a scum game of his so I can compare?

I'm underwhelmed at myself too, I don't blame you. I could provide excuses like being away from mafia for a while or not knowing the meta of 2/3 the players in this game. However that would be lazy and I'm not feeling particularly lazy right now. I shall go back to reading filters.

He didn't play in titanic, but metal mini was a lot different than this. Lots more questions and one line acusations, not a lot of whishywashyness, different from here. I'm inclined to believe the dude is town now.

@LS your mafia list looks awful to me. Mocsta in particular is one of my top town reads. Actually this post at a time like this pretty close to someone shooting someone looks pointless and trying to save face. +1 for shooting this guy.
