I'm guessing here, but it probably is the answer. It is to keep the mutalisks out of the "magical box." That way when you click on a spot, the mutas will clump together instead of staying in formation. My two cents. | ||

i have another question, what you think about the worker gathering trick to random places with empty gas (that shift move with empty gas). is it/should it be banned? may be it's just bm? | ||

But even still, its not so big a difference anyway, they stay clumped while they keep attacking and moving, and my muta micro is far from newb ;] i just tried it and its far from a small difference. usually the mutas split apart very slowly and gradually while you're microing them, and moving back and forth while picking off scvs or attacking whatever ends up separating them by a good amount. they end up separated enough to not all attack one target at the exact same time, so that when you're microing you end up pulling back too fast or having to let all of them attack before moving back. this is amazing i think. now everytime you move back, they regroup themselves. | ||
